Familia Martínez Bujanda has named Adrián Martínez Bujanda, Export Manager and fifth generation of the family company, Brand Ambassador to the UK market.
Graduate of Law, Political Science and Public Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI-ICADE), Adrián also represents the company in Ireland and Latin America. With his new position at Familia Martínez Bujanda has launched a marketing campaign based around the ‘Tres Fincas’ concept, driving recognition of their three estates in Rioja, Rueda and La Mancha. This campaign is being managed hand in hand with importer Berkmann Wine Cellars, in one of the markets they identify as a key priority.
Martínez Bujanda commented: “I’m very proud and happy to have the opportunity to promote my family’s wines in the UK market with Berkmann Wine Cellars. For us this is a trend-setting market with worldwide resonance and attraction. Being present in the UK provides a gateway into other countries too. We will be pushing hard to promote our excellent wines in this market which remains of utmost strategic importance to us.”
He added: “What’s more, this is a historic moment for Familia Martínez Bujanda, given that in 2022 we celebrated the first, officially organic-certified vintage at Finca Antigua, which now makes our La Mancha winery one of the largest organic estates in Europe. The same year, 2022, Finca Montepedroso, our estate in D.O. Rueda, also joined the prestigious group of wineries ‘Grandes Pagos de España’, which Finca Valpiedra has been part of since the beginning.”
During his stay in the UK, Martínez Bujanda will showcase Familia Martínez Bujanda’s philosophy of making single-estate wines from the most privileged plots across Spain with clients. This philosophy has led to excellent ratings for the wines from UK journalists. Master of Wine Tim Atkin included seven Familia Martínez Bujanda wines in his yearly Rioja Report, which all received great scores.
The awarded wines are:

- Finca Valpiedra Reserva Blanco 2017: 94 points
