ASDAToday, Asda launches its Tickled Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with over 200 products showing support exclusively for the campaign by donating a portion of the sales to breast cancer charities, with many products turning their packaging pink and including breast awareness messaging on-pack.

Asda Tickled Pink has been running for 28 years and has raised a phenomenal £92 million for breast cancer charities, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! in this time.

From September onwards a number of iconic products including Diet Coke, Heinz Baked Beans, Marmite, Candy Kittens, Walkers Crisps, Aero Strawberry Melts, Shreddies cereal, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and Jammie Dodgers will all be turning their packaging pink in support of the campaign.

This year, some of the products include vital breast awareness information on their packaging to highlight the importance of regularly checking your boobs, pecs and chests.

In addition, in over 205 Asda Cafés, customers can also treat themselves to two free Warburtons crumpets, which are also supporting the Ticked Pink campaign in store. There is a minimum £1 spend and the offer is available from the 19th September to 16th October, with £150,000 being donated to the campaign.

Asda reward customers who purchase four products from the Tickled Pink range will receive £1 back in their cash pot, meaning that customers will also benefit from this exciting range as well as Asda’s Tickled Pink charity partners – Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!.

Last year, products such as the pink Diet Coke cans and Heinz baked beans became viral sensations across social media with shoppers stopping in their tracks to share images and videos back on their channels.

Kris Comerford, Asda’s Chief Merchandising Officer said: “We are proud to have so many of our suppliers supporting this year’s Tickled Pink campaign and turning their iconic brands pink. It’s set to be one of our biggest ever years with over 200 products available both in stores and online, giving customers the opportunity to donate by purchasing everyday household and clothing items. For the second year running, Asda reward customers who purchase four products from the Tickled Pink range will also receive £1 back in their cash pot.”

Rachael Franklin, director of fundraising, communications and engagement at Breast Cancer Now, said: “It’s incredible to see so many amazing brands turning pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, helping us to raise vital awareness and funds for breast cancer treatments, vital education and life-changing support. This year marks the 28th year of our Asda Tickled Pink partnership with over £92 million raised – which is a fantastic achievement and enables us to make a huge difference for the 55,000 women and 400 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.”

Asda Tickled Pink is one of the UK’s longest-running charity partnerships. The campaign works with charity partners Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel! and they’re on a mission to make checking your boobs, pecs and chests, whoever you are, as normal as your Asda shop. The campaign raises funds for breast cancer treatments, education and support. Together, they’re putting breast cancer awareness on everyone’s list.

Hundreds of other brands are also involved in the campaign including Kingsmill 5050 thick loaf (£1.30), Fray Bento – Steak and Kidney Pie £2.79, Candy Kittens £2.00, Warburtons 9pk Crumpets £1.25.
