BakeAway has appointed Marc Garcia as its new UK operation director, who brings with him a wealth of expertise and leadership to further elevate the brand’s growth in the UK market.

Based in Corby, Northamptonshire, BakeAway is the leading UK manufacturer of pastry and dough, supplying grocery retailers with private label products including puff pastry, shortcrust pastry, pizza dough and cookie dough.

Garcia’s extensive knowledge, following 30 years’ experience, make him the ideal candidate to lead BakeAway’s UK operations and oversee the development of the brand.

Discussing plans for his role, Garcia said: “I jumped at the opportunity to work for BakeAway, especially during this period of growth for the organisation.

“I consider myself fortunate to lead BakeAway during this pivotal phase, with a focus on investing further in our people, buildings and machinery, as they are the backbone of our success.”

As BakeAway embarks on this exciting new growth chapter, Garcia’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. His strong leadership skills and industry knowledge mean that Marc is poised to lead BakeAway’s UK operations to new heights and further establish the brand as a leader in the baking industry.

Garcia continues: “From the moment I was awarded Apprentice of the Year during my first ever year at work years ago, I developed a passion for continuously striving for excellence. This mentality has remained with me throughout my professional journey, and I look forward to bringing this same passion and dedication to BakeAway.

“I was made to feel part of the family from the minute I walked through the door at BakeAway. It also helps that I love baked goods, particularly the Cornish pasty.”

Garcia joins BakeAway after serving as Operations Director for Barry Callebaut in his previous position, where he played a pivotal role in streamlining operations and driving efficiency.
