Continuing their long-standing commitment to support bees and other pollinators in decline, this May Neal’s Yard Remedies are once again collaborating with iconic British designer, Bella Freud, to relaunch a limited-edition Save the Bees t-shirt in aid of bee conservation – this time, in sunshine yellow.
A cause close to the designer’s heart, Freud has been a longstanding supporter of Neal’s Yard Remedies’ campaigning to protect bees and other pollinators. “Saving the bees is saving the world!” – Bella Freud.
Originally launched back in 2022, the Save the Bees t-shirt’s vibrant new colourway is perfect for the summer months ahead. Crafted from 100% organic cotton and cut for a relaxed fit, the bright new t-shirt features ‘POLLINATE’ on the front, while the back reads ‘Save the Bees’ with an illustration of the humble bee – in signature Bella Freud style. All profits raised from the sale of the new t-shirt will be donated to bee conservation and nature-friendly farming initiatives.
“Standing together to make change happen is vital in the fight to protect our pollinators. So we’re thrilled to reignite our collaboration with fellow nature activist, Bella Freud, with the relaunch of our much-loved Save the Bees t-shirt, this time in a sunshine yellow.” – Anabel Kindersley, CEO, Neal’s Yard Remedies.
Make sure to join the waitlist at nealsyardremedies.com from World Bee Day (20th May 2024) to be one of the first to secure this iconic t-shirt, with delivery in June.

More on the Save the Bees campaign
For over a decade, Neal’s Yard Remedies has been campaigning to Save the Bees, for these precious pollinators which are facing dramatic decline. In 2012, the brand launched its Bee Lovely range and has since donated 3 percent of sales from the collection to bee conservation charities, raising £350,000 so far, and saving over 56 million bees.
CEO Anabel Kindersley is leading a coalition of 110 UK businesses and organisations as part of the Stand by Bees campaign which aims to put an end to the use of hazardous pesticides in the UK, protecting our bees, businesses and countryside. Participating brands and organisations include the British Beauty Council, Yeo Valley, Lush, Weleda and Walpole, alongside leading environmental organisations such as Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, The Wildlife Trusts, Pesticide Action Network and the RSPB.
Neonicotinoids are currently banned across the EU, but have been approved for emergency use for the last two years by the UK government, against the advice of its scientific advisors. The Stand By Bees coalition has been calling on the UK government to set meaningful targets to reduce pesticide usage, with the aim of reversing the dramatic decline in pollinator populations we’ve seen in the last decade.
The campaign recently gained traction in parliament with the shadow Environment Minister, Daniel Zeichner, pledging to put an end to emergency authorisations of toxic pesticides. Anabel’s pivotal role in establishing the Stand By Bees campaign was commended, along with the joint efforts of the other businesses supporting the campaign, but the fight is still ongoing.
You can support the campaign by writing to your MP using one of the letter templates available on the Stand by Bees website, and of course, by buying the new, limited-edition Save the Bees t-shirt.
