Co-op launches best ever deal on Champagne

champagne is now available at an unbelievable price at Co-op, just in time for Christmas Day as the convenience retailer slashes the price of its biggest selling fizz to just £15 for one week only.

From today (Wednesday 18 December – 24th December), Co-op members can exclusively save more than a third off the price of the retailer’s Les Pionniers Non-Vintage Champagne (RRP £21.50 for 75cl) – an own-brand fizz produced exclusively by one of the most highly-esteemed Champagne houses.

The refreshing and elegant Champagne made from a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes is much loved by shoppers and experts alike, having won many awards in recent years, often beating well know premium brand champagnes in taste tests.

Co-op, which sells more Champagne at Christmas than any other time of the year including Valentine’s Day, is predicting to sell 10 times more than in previous years in response to the deal and in preparation has stocked up its stores up and down the country. The retailer has also shipped in an extra 30,000 cases of the champers from France to meet the anticipated demand.

Ed Robinson, Co-op Champagne buyer, said: “This year’s big festivities call for the best bubbles and our much-loved Champagne has a big name behind it so is sure to impress, whether served on its own or with fresh smoked salmon, and we have stocked up our stores in preparation of the deal going live as we expect it to be a big hit!”

Normally £21.50, members will be able to pick up a bottle for just £15 from 18 – 24 December inclusive.  Anyone can become a member by visiting in-store, online or downloading the Co-op app.
