Co-op Wholesale and Tankerford Co-op Wholesale has today announced a multi-year strategic partnership with forecourt operator Tankerford, marking a significant step forward in expanding high-quality grocery offerings across the UK’s forecourt sector.
The collaboration will see Co-op Wholesale become the primary supply partner for the network of Tankerford forecourt convenience stores, delivering a curated range of Co-op own brand products, tailored to meet the needs of on-the-go consumers.
Ian King, business development and growth director at Co-op Wholesale, said: “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to quality, convenience, on the go. Tankerford has built a reputation for innovation and customer service in the forecourt space, and we’re proud to support their growth with our trusted product range and supply expertise.”
With a focus on modern, customer-centric retail environments, this partnership will enhance its food-to-go and grocery offerings, while benefiting from Co-op Wholesale’s robust logistics network and ethically sourced own brand range.
Jamie Wheeler, retail sales director at Tankerford, said: “This collaboration allows us to continue to expand our Refuel Market brand which deliver the quality and consistency that today’s forecourt shoppers expect, combining market leading customer service, value and promotions.”
Tankerford currently operate 11 forecourt sites nationwide with further expansion plans throughout 2026.
