How would you feel about getting your trotters out straight after a hike? Well, now there’s a chance to find out.Columbia Sportswear has launched Feet Freak, a takeover of an East London salon offering hikers free post-hike foot rubs and pedicures, to celebrate the launch of its new Peakfreak collection.
Transformed into a pampering spot for hikers, Feet Freak invites outdoor lovers to kick back and treat their feet to some well-earned care. Visitors can enjoy complimentary foot rubs and outdoor-inspired pedicures, giving hard-working feet the attention they deserve after time on the trails.
The activation marks the arrival of the new Peakfreak collection, featuring the Peakfreak Titanium OutDry, the Peakfreak III and the Peakfreak Hera, a model made specifically for women. Designed to deliver extreme comfort, the range keeps feet in tip-top condition however far the trail goes.
Feet Freak will also serve as the finishing point for a series of free guided hikes around the city, so hikers can head straight from the trail into the salon chair to have their feet worshipped.
The takeover supports Columbia’s F33T Fund campaign, which sees the brand offering to pay hikers £135, the price of a pair of Peakfreak III, for pictures of their feet.
“Our feet do all the hard work on a hike, and they rarely get the credit. The Peakfreak collection was made to keep them comfortable mile after mile, and Feet Freak is our way of celebrating how the range keeps feet happy even after a day on the trails,” said Christelle Bretaudeau, spokesperson at Columbia Sportswear.
