Currys and Quorso supercharge stores with AI

Currys, the UK’s leading omnichannel tech retailer, has teamed up with Quorso to launch a new tool called ‘Action AI’ in its stores. This smart platform helps store teams work more efficiently and saves time by making important data easier for managers to find and understand.

This solution brings together information like sales, footfall, promotions, surveys and customer satisfaction, into one simple, action-focused dashboard. It hopes to help managers and teams focus on what matters most and take the right action, in the right way, at the right time – wholly led by data.

For example, a Sales Manager can instantly identify product categories that aren’t performing well — thanks to millions of calculations across the store network – and be guided to the root cause through real time transaction trends. At the same time, teams can learn from and be inspired by top-performing stores through seeing what works well right across the estate – easy to see and access within the Action AI dashboard.

‘Action AI’ helps cut through the confusion of too much data by guiding managers to the most important next step—making it easier for colleagues and better for customers to enjoy an improved shopping experience. This week, the platform launched in an initial sixteen stores across the UK, with full rollout planned in September.

Currys is proud to be partnering with Quorso as part of its continued investment in stores. As the leading omnichannel tech retailer in every market it operates, Currys recognises the vital role its stores play. Today’s announcement shows the retailer’s AI strategy in action, implementing practical and impactful uses of AI that help customers and colleagues.

“This marks a big step forward as we bring AI into the day-to-day running of our stores. It cuts through the mountain of data presented to our store managers, supporting targeted commercial actions and freeing up time to focus on what they do best – helping our customers with their tech needs. The platform is another important investment in our stores, which remain the lifeblood of our business and are loved by our customers. I’m excited to see the difference AI will make in supporting our store teams and making our stores even easier to shop for our customers,” said Lindsay Haselhurst, chief operating officer, Currys.

“Action AI solves a real unique problem which many retailers face: how to get real value out of all data available to them. Quorso’s solution is unique, easy to use and genuinely making a difference in helping our store leaders focus on granular opportunities that, at scale, drive sales and improve the customer experience overall,” said Martin Raper, head of operational excellence, Currys.

“Quorso is proud to be supporting Currys in bringing to life its vision of helping everyone enjoy amazing technology, it aligns very closely with our own values. We are delighted to be working with such an iconic UK retailer and look forward to helping their fantastic store colleagues save time, focus on the highest value actions, and boost productivity in their stores,” said Ed Skudra, VP EMEA, Quorso.
