Deliveroo drops new foodie necklace line, just in time for Valentine’s Day

Food lovers rejoice – Deliveroo today launches ‘Love Bites’, a limited-edition charm necklace range that pays homage to some of the nation’s favourite restaurants available on the app, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Inspired by the 2024 trend of customised jewellery, the unisex necklace collection celebrates cult takeaway favourites, Eggslut, Homeslice, Wingstop, Oowee Vegan, and Shake Shack, and are available as a gift from Deliveroo alongside eligible orders.

In everyone’s favourite Carrie Bradshaw style, each gold-plated necklace features the restaurant’s name emblazoned in cursive, with a mini ‘Roo’ charm on the clasp. The limited-edition designs are encased in a beautifully designed teal box, complete with a certificate of authenticity and a love note from Deliveroo.

Those wanting to nab a free necklace had better be quick – stocks are limited, and available when customers order between 7th and 14th February from the following locations:

  • Eggslut: Notting Hill (London), Percy Street (London), Leonard Street (London), Victoria Street (London), Victory Parade (London)
  • Homeslice: James Street (London), Neals Yard (London), Queen Street (London)
  • Oowee Vegan: Baldwin Street (Bristol), Market Street (Brighton)
  • Shake Shack: Mansion House (London), Canary Wharf (London), Leicester Square (London), Oxford Street (London), Camden (London), Clapham (London)
  • Wingstop: London Road (Southend-on-Sea), Springfield Rd (Chelmsford), Metrocentre (Gateshead), Deliveroo Editions (south-east London), Deliveroo Editions (Leeds)

The collection launches as over a third (35%) of Brits reveal where their true love lies, admitting they would rather celebrate Valentine’s Day with their favourite takeaway alone than with their other half. And staying in is set to be the new ‘going out’ on 14th February, as two-thirds (67%) of Brits say they will be celebrating at home, vs. going to a fancy restaurant (24%) or doing an activity (8%).

Deliveroo’s survey also found three in five (60%) coupled-up Brits say sharing food with their partner helps them bond, and 45% say sharing a takeaway at home is one of their go-to date night activities. Chinese (50%) and Italian (49%) top the list of takeaways Brits are looking to order-in this Valentine’s Day, closely followed by British food (41%).

Arabella Jenkins at Deliveroo, said: “In many ways, your favourite takeaway is like a great partner – it’s always there for you when you need it most. So this Valentine’s Day, we wanted to celebrate the truly special relationship between foodies and some of our most loved restaurant partners by giving our customers a surprise gift, all in the name of love.

“There’s no better way to treat your other half (or yourself!), than with your favourite takeaway, and a bit of bling on the side. Our limited-edition Love Bites necklace range is the perfect way to do just that, so foodies across the nation can declare their feelings for their true love.”

Whether you’re celebrating with a significant other or simply celebrating yourself, Deliveroo’s Love Bites necklaces are the perfect gift for anyone who goes doe-eyed at the sight of their favourite dishes.

To be in with a chance of receiving a free necklace, place an order worth £15 or more from the participating Eggslut, Homeslice, Wingstop, Oowee Vegan and Shake Shack sites between 7th-14th February in the app or online, while stocks last.
