Lindt CHOCO WAFER and Macmillan Cancer SupportLindt CHOCO WAFER and Macmillan Cancer Support are encouraging the nation to press pause, grab a coffee and chocolate treat, and make time for a good conversation this September.

New research commissioned by Lindt reveals that 63% of Brits wish they could see their loved ones more often, with almost two fifths (39%) admitting they often feel too busy to connect as much as they would like. For millennials, this rises to more than half (57%).

Yet, when people do make time to connect, the benefits are clear. 7 in 10 (72%) say small moments of connection – from grabbing a coffee together to simply having a chat – support their mental wellbeing. For almost two thirds (64%), adding chocolate or something sweet could give their mood an extra boost!

Lindt CHOCO WAFER and Macmillan Cancer Support are encouraging people to make space for those small but meaningful moments this Macmillan Coffee Morning, with the launch of ‘Pause for a good cause’.

From Friday 25th – Sunday 27th September, groups of two or more visiting participating Lindt Chocolate Shops across the UK can simply say “Pause for a good cause” when purchasing their coffee to receive a buy-one-get-one-free coffee, alongside a complimentary Lindt CHOCO WAFER Milk Hazelnut treat bar each to enjoy.

The initiative forms part of Lindt’s support of Macmillan Coffee Morning 2026, the charity’s much-loved annual fundraiser which brings people together over coffee, conversation, and a sweet treat, while raising vital funds to support people living with cancer. Lindt is the charity’s exclusive confectionary partner for 2026.

Angèle Villet, marketing director at Lindt & Sprüngli UK, said: “Some of the best conversations happen when we simply take the time to pause, whether that’s catching up over a coffee, sharing a treat or checking in with someone we care about. Our research shows that people value these small moments of connection, but busy lives can often get in the way.

“Through our ‘Pause for a good cause’ initiative, we’re encouraging everyone to make a little more time for each other this weekend by celebrating the Macmillan Coffee Morning, while supporting the incredible work Macmillan does for people living with cancer.”

Jan Forrest, head of relationship fundraising at Macmillan Cancer Support, added: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Lindt & Sprüngli and CHOCO WAFER for this year’s Coffee Morning. It’s a brilliant opportunity to bring people together and remind friends, family and loved ones that no one has to face cancer alone. Coffee Morning doesn’t need to be big; simply getting together can make a difference.

“Right now, there are almost 3.5m people living with cancer in the UK. Everyone deserves the best possible care, but too many people aren’t receiving it. Better is possible, and it takes all of us for fairer cancer care. So, whether you raise a little or a lot, every single Coffee Morning takes us one step closer to better care, so that everyone with cancer gets the support they need, no matter who they are or where they live.”

Supporting the initiative, Adele Roberts, broadcaster and DJ said: “Cancer affects so many of us and having moments of genuine connection with the people who lift you up means the absolute world. Taking a breather to pause, share a brew, and check in with someone you love is so powerful. I’m thrilled to support Lindt and Macmillan’s partnership – make sure you grab a loved one, head to a Lindt store, and Pause for a good cause this Coffee Morning!”

People can also support Macmillan Coffee Morning by hosting their own get-together throughout September. To help hosts add a little extra indulgence to their fundraising, Lindt is offering 30% off all CHOCO WAFER boxed products at Lindt Chocolate Shops and on Lindt.co.uk from 1st – 30th September.

Lindt CHOCO WAFER combines creamy Lindt chocolate with crispy cocoa wafers, crafted by the Lindt Master Chocolatiers. Available in Milk Chocolate, Milk Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate varieties, the range is designed to be shared – making it the perfect accompaniment to a coffee and a moment of connection.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

From Friday 25th – Sunday 27th September 2026, head to a participating Lindt Chocolate Shop with a group of two or more and say “Pause for a good cause” when purchasing your coffee to receive the offer.

Participating Lindt stores include:

  • Ashford
  • Cannock
  • Caledonia
  • Cheshire Oaks
  • Cotswolds
  • Kildare
  • Piccadilly Circus
  • Somerset
  • Westfield Stratford
  • Wembley

And don’t worry if you can’t visit one of Lindt’s stores where hot drinks are available. To celebrate the partnership, Lindt will be offering complimentary CHOCO WAFER tastings at all its stores across the country, from Monday 21st – Friday 25th September, while stocks last.
