Longitude Festival JD, the leading retailer for youth fashion and sportswear brands, will be providing the festival vibes in Dublin this July as the King of Trainers becomes Official Sports Fashion Retail Partner of Longitude Festival.

Longitude Festival returns to Marlay Park this summer from Saturday July 1 to Sunday July 2, 2023. With thousands of festival-goers flocking once again to soak up some sun, fun and great music, JD will literally “Press Play on Summer” with local grassroots DJ’s bringing the vibe and hosting unforgettable sets at the JD stage.

Seeing one of your box fresh sneakers get decimated by a spilt drink, a downpour of rain or having multiple people step on them is agonising at a festival. In a bid to curb post-festival commiserating, the King of Trainers will also be teaming up with Crep Protect – meaning it might finally be possible to have the time of your life, while keeping your kicks intact.

Global superstar producer / DJ Calvin Harris will headline Saturday night at Longitude – his first show in the Republic of Ireland in 10 years. Harris has received 18 Brit Award nominations – winning British Producer of the Year and British Single of the Year in 2019, as well as five Grammy nominations. He has received an Ivor Novello Award and was named the Top Dance/Electronic Artist at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

Producer, remixer & Area10 label boss MK will also perform on Saturday. Having headlined Longitude in 2018, Sunday 2nd July will see Travis Scott return to Longitude to the main stage, due to demand. The American rapper / producer has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards and has won a Billboard Music Award and a Latin Grammy Award.

Festival fans will also be on a high to hear that there is a way to get FREE tickets to the highly anticipated summer event. JD will be giving 14 music-lovers the chance to win 2 X VIP Longitude tickets with any purchase (JD ROI site and stores only), to Dublin’s largest outdoor music festival. The competition will run from Monday May 22 to Tuesday June 6, 2023. Fans are also encouraged to keep an eye on the @JDSports Instagram channel for further opportunities to win tickets in the run up to the festival.

Chris Waters, marketing director at JD, said: “Attracting concert-goers from around the globe, Longitude has spent the last decade evolving to meet the ever-changing demands and desires of young audiences, which makes us perfect partners. JD champions being King of your game. Whether you’re performing on the professional stage, creating beats in your bedroom, or competing with your friends to have the freshest sportswear look, JD has you covered this summer. Like Longitude, we’re more determined than ever in making 2023 a summer to remember.”

This next-level music-meets-fashion partnership will continue to place the youth generation at the heart of its highly anticipated events. Including numerous activations and social media integration, this summer will showcase both JD and Longitude’s undeniable prominence amongst the scene.
