Nirvana, the UK’s first-ever no/low brewery, has started 2025 with the release of ‘Nitro Stout’ (0.5% ABV) in a 330ml can, which also sports the brand’s striking new look.
The latest creation of James Rabagliati, Nirvana’s head brewer who joined 12 months ago, it’s Nirvana’s first such style of beer – and offers a rare alcohol-free alternative in it. As is common, Nitro Stout is designed to be poured ‘hard and fast’ to release the nitrogen.
Described as offering rich, roasted flavours with a velvety texture, Nitro Stout delivers notes of coffee, cocoa and caramel. Goldings hops, known for their subtle honey-like characteristics, help lead to a smooth, clean, finish.
Becky Kean, founder and brand ambassador said: “We’re rapidly evolving as a brand and Nitro Stout is the ideal beer to complement our 2025 line-up. ‘Specials’ will still be part of our offering, but we’re concentrating on some key brews that we know have particular mass appeal. There’s not enough no/low alternatives to this particular style of beer, so we’re looking forward to seeing the trade – and consumer – reaction.”
