As part of their ‘90 Minutes to Nature’ campaign, which aims to show people how incredible outdoor spaces can be reached in less time than most commutes, outdoor experts at Blacks are inviting members of the public to join them on a guided hike around Bamford Edge Circular.
Taking place on Saturday, 5th September, the day will begin at Sheffield Train Station, where attendees will be given a return train ticket to Bamford Edge Train Station. From there, the 9km guided hike will begin.
Participants will be joined by three Ordnance Survey Champions, who will be on hand throughout the walk to share their expertise, help guide the route and ensure everyone gets the most from the experience.
Natalie Wolfenden, Author and outdoor enthusiast at Blacks, comments: “There’s something powerful about discovering wild, open spaces just beyond the city. By bringing our community from Sheffield to Bamford Edge, we’re showing just how easy it can be to step away from the everyday. Through 90 Minutes to Nature, we’re encouraging more people to discover the landscapes, trails and moments of escape waiting closer to home than they might think.””
Registered guests should arrive at Sheffield Train Station by 9:30am. Whilst there is a planned refreshment stop during the hike, guests are reminded to pack water and refreshments.
Tickets are free and go on sale via Eventbrite on Sunday 16th August, 3pm BST: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
