Piccolo has increased its distribution in over 400 Tesco stores with the addition of 17 new lines offering parents greater access to products that put nutrition first, second and third.
The increased distribution also includes Piccolo’s brand new Peach & Mango and Banana & Blueberry Natural Yoghurt pouches, as well as Strawberry & Banana and Mango & Pineapple Brekkie pouches.
Products in-store also include Piccolo’s rebranded multipacks. The brand has teamed up with the Tonies and Micro Scooters to bring pack competitions to life, giving parents the chance to win £600 worth of prizes each month.
How big is Piccolo’s new distribution and what does it include?
The increase in distribution sees 17 new lines going into Tesco stores, including a wide variety of Piccolo’s new and reformulated ranges to help parents decide which products are the best for their children’s needs and feeding journey.
With the superfood acerola cherry, the Immune Support range provides a natural source of Vitamin C. Piccolo’s Plant Power range hosts a range of Vegan meals and snacks that are nutrient-rich for little ones. The Balanced Boost pouches contain a careful balance of ingredients for a full serving of veg and at least 1 of 5 a day. Lastly, the Good for Growth range spans all of Piccolo’s Stage 2 pouches with free-range or grass-fed meat, and plant-based ingredients to deliver the right amount of protein for babies.
The brand has also pioneered new ‘super’ ingredients working with suppliers to incorporate this into recipes for nutritional benefits for babies, for example Acerola Cherry which is naturally high in Vitamin C, and Flaxseed Oil which is a natural source of Omega 3.
What are the new product launches?
Among the 17 new products, the increase in distribution also includes Piccolo’s newest Natural Yoghurts and Brekkie pouch lines.
Launched in two new flavours Peach & Mango and Banana & Blueberry, the new Natural Yoghurt pouches are a creamy blend of natural whole milk yoghurt and real fruits essential for the development of growing babies. Piccolo’s new Natural Yoghurt pouches are available in Tesco, Boots, Waitrose, Morrisons & Ocado, RRP: £1.50.
The Brekkie pouches also launched in two flavours: Strawberry & Banana and Mango & Pineapple. Both Brekkies contain 15% more protein than the market leader and are a great option for parents on the go. With the inclusion of gluten free oats and whole milk, they are a handy source of protein and fibre. Piccolo’s new Brekkie pouches are available in Tesco, Boots, Superdrug & Ocado, RRP: £1.50.
What are the on pack competitions?
Piccolo has teamed up with Tonies and Micro Scooters to launch two on pack competitions with a range of age specific products to give parents the chance to win £600 worth of prizes a month for a whole year.
These competitions are on two of Piccolo’s popular multipacks:
Tonies competition: Available on Piccolo’s Mighty Red and Mighty Purple Smoothie multipacks. Both pouches are a part of Piccolo’s Immune Support pouch range through the inclusion of the superfood acerola cherry, a naturally high source of Vitamin C. They’re also made with tasty veg and are 2 of 5 a day. The multipacks can be found in Tesco, Asda & Boots for £4.35.
Micro Scooter: Available on Piccolo’s Squeezy Yogs. Made with whole milk yoghurt and blended with real fruit, the Squeezy Yogs are a great source of protein in a handy, resealable pouch. Less mess and more convenience with no fridge needed, they are perfect for lunchboxes. The multipacks can be found in Tesco, Asda & Sainsburys for £4.50.
All parents need to do is head down to their local participating retailer and purchase one of Piccolo’s multipacks. Once purchased, all that’s left to do is scan the barcode on the side of the box and fill in the details page to be entered into the competition. If successful, parents will win:
- Tonies: 3x Tonies starter set packed full of songs and stories, plus a HUGE bundle of Piccolo goodies are up for grabs every month.
- Micro Scooter: 1x winner will receive a deluxe foldable scooter; a Micro safety helmet and a Piccolo bundle every month.
Founder, Cat Gazzoli, says: “This is a really exciting time for Piccolo as a challenger brand. Having a big retailer like Tesco back our missions to provide parents with products to ensure their kids are fed properly for the future. This is a major step in the right direction for smaller brands, as we now have almost double the range available in store and parents can find us in over 400 Tesco’s to shop our range, including our brand new Brekkie and Natural Yoghurt pouches. Maximum goodness, minimum nonsense.”
