Running every day of the Olympia, London, fair (November 4-10), the ever popular, often full to capacity, Spirit Fair workshops are back for 2024 with some big names and interesting themes.
High profile speakers include: actor Martin Clunes presenting his new book Meetings with Remarkable Animals. Clunes said of the book (available 7 November 2024), “I live my life surrounded by animals and they never fail to fascinate me. It’s been fabulous writing this book and hearing about other peoples experiences with theirs. It’s packed with amazing stories about amazing animals and all of my own animals too who are, of course, amazing in their own right.”
Shirley Ballas has two talks at the fair, ( Friday 8th November at 1pm) one on her new book, ‘Dance to the Death’, the new novel in the sensational Sequin Mysteries series, from world-renowned dancer and Strictly head judge.
She is also supporting the Fair charity, Suicide and Co and doing a panel discussion (3pm Fridy 8th November) around the subject of “Breaking the Stigma’. This inspiring conversation will focus on how to break down the stigmas surrounding important issues such as mental health, suicide and grief.
Charlie Bigham (12pm Thursday 7th November) is presenting his new book Supper with Charlie Bingham: Favourite Food for Family & Friends. Bigham’s company has has B Corp status and passion for real food and fresh ingredients.
For food and drink enthusiasts there are demonstrations with Chef, Clodagh McKenna (Tuesday 5th 11am and Saturday 9th 3pm), tapas with Jose Pizarro (6pm Thursday 7th) and a cocktail masterclass (Thursday 7pm).
