The Cotswold CompanyThe Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, is delighted to announce the opening of its 9th UK store – located on 12 Northgate Street in Bath – as it continues to expand and deliver against its digitally-led omni-channel growth strategy. The store will open on 14 December, which is approximately 4,000sq  ft in a historic Georgian building, will create approximately eight new jobs in the City.

The new Bath store is part of the business’ plans to selectively expand its retail portfolio over the coming year to enable more customers to experience the brand and its products in an experience and service-led retail environment.

Founded in 1996 in the heart of the Cotswolds, the Cotswold Company sells thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted premium furniture and accessories through a digital-led omni-channel model.

At the heart of its offer are responsibly sourced materials and expert craftsmanship. Its timeless products for the home and garden – from comfy beds to roomy wardrobes and sink-in sofas – champion traceable timber and are designed for life and built to last.

Reflecting growing consumer demand for high-quality, made-to-last furniture, as well as the success of its ROI-focused marketing initiatives, the Cotswold Company has expanded significantly in recent years.  Since 2019, revenues have grown by more than 57% to over £86.2m. Additionally, the brand has expanded its store estate, opening three new experience-led retail stores since November 2021 to support the business’ growing e-commerce business.

As part of its strategy to strengthen its UK position, the Cotswold Company – which is backed by True Global – will open its 10th store in early 2024, as it continues to deliver against its growth strategy to develop as a leading lifestyle homeware brand.

Ralph Tucker, chief executive officer at the Cotswold Company, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of our 9th store, located in Bath, as we continue to support our digital-led model with welcoming, differentiated retail stores that enable our customers to truly experience our brand. Each Cotswold Company store is welcoming and different, offering plenty of inspiration and helping customers create a home for life that feels real, loved, and lived in. This Bath store is exceptionally exciting, as we have had lots of requests from customers to bring a store to the City. I am delighted we have been able to secure such a fantastic location in an iconic British city so close to our authentic Cotswold heritage.

“We are confident that our model of opening carefully curated stores in strategically important locations, supported by locally relevant digital marketing initiatives, and high-quality service – both in-store and via our white glove delivery service – sets us apart as we continue to carefully expand and grow our brand.”
