The Cotswold Company opens first retail park showroom in Chichester

The Cotswold Company,The Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, is delighted to open its new retail park showroom, located Unit 2, Portfield Retail Park, Portfield Way.

Founded in 1996 in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Company sells thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted premium furniture and accessories through a digital-led omni-channel model. Working in tandem with specialist manufacturers and employing traditional woodworking techniques, all products are built to last.

The new Chichester showroom is The Cotswold Company’s first retail park opening and creates a new opportunity to test the application of the brand in a larger format to its usual showrooms. To mirror the usual charm and characterful feel of its showrooms, The Cotswold Company has carefully designed the space to replicate various spaces within the home, rather than a traditional retail space. This includes the introduction of fully styled room settings, dropped ceilings and faux window installations to create a truly inspirational space.

In addition, the enlarged space will also enable The Cotswold Company to showcase a broader range of its products. This includes its best-selling collections such as Chester, Inglesham, Elkstone Oak and Camille, alongside the brand’s largest ever upholstery offer, supported by a dedicated Upholstery Hub with full-length fabric options, consultation space and take-home swatches. As part of this, the Group will also offer its ready-made curtain range with a variety of fabrics, drapes and finishes.

Chichester marks the fourth showroom opening of 2025, following the recent launch of its Knutsford location, which continues to trade ahead of expectations. With at least one further opening planned before the end of the financial year, the business continues to take meaningful steps towards its ambition to become one of the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.

Ralph Tucker, chief executive officer at the Cotswold Company, said: “We’re delighted to officially open our new retail park showroom in Chichester. It was critical to replicate the charm and immersive experience that customers have come to know in love across our showroom portfolio, and we’re proud to provide the same look and feel in Chichester. We genuinely believe there isn’t a retail park showroom like it!

“This opening is a significant milestone for the brand as we strengthen our presence in the South East and drive the rollout of our immersive showroom format that allows customers to experience broader ranges of our collections. With a strong showroom pipeline, Chichester being the fourth in 2025 with at least one more planned before the end of the financial year, we’re building momentum as we work towards becoming the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.”
