Tortilla to open new restaurant on Bond Street, Leeds

Tortilla Tortilla, the UK’s most loved Mexican restaurant, is expanding into a larger, high-street restaurant in Leeds as part of its continued growth, opening a new site on Bond Street later this month.

Known for its real California-style burritos and tacos, Tortilla serves freshly made meals from scratch using quality ingredients.

The new Tortilla restaurant will officially open on Friday 23 January, just a few steps away from its current location in Trinity Kitchen at Trinity Leeds. The existing Trinity Kitchen site will close on Monday 19 January at 3pm, ahead of the move.

Located at 33 Bond Street, the new high-street restaurant offers more space for customers and features a refreshed, modern look designed to create a welcoming environment to enjoy Tortilla’s signature burritos, tacos and bowls.

To celebrate the opening, Tortilla is inviting customers to an exclusive sneak preview on Thursday 22 January, with a free lunch on offer.

Between 12pm and 1:30pm, customers can claim one free medium burrito, bowl, or salad. Existing Leeds Burrito Society members – or new sign-ups via https://tortilla.co.uk/leeds-bond-street-signup – will receive a QR code by email to redeem on the day.

The offer is available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. All offers are subject to change.

On the day, customers can also enjoy a live guac bar, and Burrito Society members will receive a 2-for-1 offer to use during the first week of opening.

Tortilla interim marketing director, Olivia Paris, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be opening our new high-street Tortilla in Leeds. Moving into a bigger space on Bond Street allows us to offer an even better experience for our customers, with a fresh, modern look alongside the same freshly made, California-style burritos and tacos Leeds already knows and loves. We can’t wait to welcome everyone in.”

Tortilla serves freshly prepared, fully customisable California-style Mexican food, built around choice, flavour and quality. Every dish is made to order and typically served in under 90 seconds, using fresh ingredients prepared daily.

With more than 4 million possible burrito combinations, the menu is designed for customisation, with over 70% of fillings plant-based. Ingredients are chosen for flavour and provenance, including Hass avocados hand-smashed for guacamole, chillies imported from Mexico, and grass-fed British Isles brisket used for barbacoa.

Inspired by San Francisco taquerias, Tortilla restaurants offer a relaxed, social environment, serving burritos, tacos and bowls alongside beers and margaritas – designed for any occasion with friends, family and colleagues. Tortilla is also proud to send zero waste to landfill and use 100% renewable electricity across its restaurants.
