UK’s largest confectionery distributor World of Sweets is encouraging retailers to stock up on a range of branded freezables ahead of the Spring and Summer months.

The latest MAT shows that the freezables category is growing by 70%, making them a must have for all stores.

Retailers should consider stocking up on the popular Barratt Ice Duos which launched last year with huge success.

This product was commended in the ice cream and ice lolly category at the Quality Food Awards and are available to retailers in packs of 14 x 640ml, RRP £1.75 per product.

The unique two in one dual flavour ice pole with classic sweetshop flavours is also HFSS compliant and includes iconic Barratt sweet brands Fruit Salad, Dip Dab, Wham and Refreshers.

Innovation and unique flavours are a key aspect in the growth of the frozen category which is why customers should also consider stocking up on new products such as the Barratt’s Ice Duo in a new single pole format, available in packs of 60 x 105ml with a RRP of 35p.

The premium ambient product can be purchased in branded shelf ready displays and frozen at home to enjoy.

According to the Novotaste 2022 flavour trends, nostalgic flavours are incredibly sought after by customers as they seek comfort and indulgence.

Another new exciting branded freezable launching from World of Sweets are the Warheads Extreme Sour Snap Ice available in 45ml packs coming soon.

American sour candy brand Warheads are the fastest growing sour candy in the US and have been a leading sour brand for over 40 years. Currently growing at +65% RSV year on year in the UK and a brand value of £2.4m.

Retailers will be able offer their customers this new and exciting American product which will be available in four extreme sour flavours – Green Apple, Watermelon, Black Cherry and Blue Raspberry. Offering a £1.75 RRP

Chris Smith, Partner Brand Manager at World of Sweets, said: “Freezables are becoming extremely popular and with the Spring and Summer season just around the corner, we’re thrilled to be able to offer our customers such an exciting selection with two leading brands in the confectionery category.

“It’s important for retailers to keep their customers engaged by offering them something different. That’s why the Extreme Sour Snap Ice from American brand Warheads is a must have.

“We also expect the Barratt’s Ice Pole Duos in single formats for the convenience channel to perform really well as they offer great value and nostalgia with their Fruit Salad, Dip Dab, Wham and Refresher flavours. These are available to order from World of Sweets Field Sales.

“Stocking up on these freezables now is a great way for retailers to ensure they’ll be stocked up throughout the Spring and Summer period.”
