British Land welcomes BPerfect and Bee Inspired to Glasgow Fort as emerging online brands transition to physical retail

British Land has secured two new retail additions at Glasgow Fort, welcoming BPerfect Cosmetics and Bee Inspired, as the number of digitally native brands opening physical space continues to rise.

BPerfect Cosmetics, the cult cosmetics brand with a vast online presence, will open a flagship store in Scotland this November. The store will be situated adjacent to Zara, Victoria’s Secret, and NEXT, placing the brand in the heart of Glasgow Fort. Known for its dynamic product range and strong digital presence, BPerfect’s move into physical retail reflects its growth and commitment to delivering an immersive in-person experience for customers.

Bee Inspired, another digitally native brand, has also recently opened its 1,841 sq ft pop-up store at Glasgow Fort, offering its signature streetwear collections to a new audience. Located next to Forty Clothing and JD Sports, Bee Inspired’s pop-up highlights the growing trend of e-commerce brands testing physical retail spaces to broaden their reach and customer engagement.

Founded by former professional footballers Steven Robb and Mark Corcoran, Bee Inspired has built a global following, particularly on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, where the brand’s collections are frequently seen on high-profile athletes. The Glasgow Fort pop-up allows the brand to trial a physical store, with a view to further expansion.

Both BPerfect and Bee Inspired join Forty Clothing, another Glasgow-born brand that has successfully transitioned from digital to physical retail at Glasgow Fort. Its success highlights how online businesses can thrive in brick-and-mortar environments, using these spaces as a key tool for growth, community building, and brand visibility.

Ross McCall, retail leasing & commercialisation director at British Land, said: “The addition of BPerfect and Bee Inspired is an exciting development for Glasgow Fort, and reinforces the shopping park’s status as a leading retail destination. Both brands have enjoyed remarkable success online, and we’re proud to provide the platform for them to take their business to the next level.

“We’ve seen a growing demand from brands that started online but now want to accelerate their brand recognition and affinity with a physical footprint. The combination of a great shopping environment, strong footfall, and a community of dynamic brands makes Glasgow Fort the ideal location for these businesses.”

The addition of BPerfect and Bee Inspired comes as Glasgow Fort continues to evolve and invest in its offering. Over the past year, the centre has experienced significant growth, welcoming major retailers such as Zara, Mango, Rituals, and Primark. A £7 million investment has enhanced the visitor experience, and with over 16 million visitors in 2023 alone, Glasgow Fort remains a top-tier retail destination in Scotland.

Conveniently located off the M8 motorway, the centre offers over 2,500 free parking spaces, Click and Collect services, and a wide range of retail, dining, and leisure options, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience for all visitors.
