Atria Watfordatria Watford, the SGS owned premier shopping, dining and leisure destination, has announced that The Massage Company will open one of its largest branches to date in the centre. From May 2025, The Massage Company’s newest location will bring its premium wellness offering to Hertfordshire for the first time.
With ambitious plans to expand to 100 centres across the UK by 2030, atria Watford marks The Massage Company’s 11th UK opening and reinforces the centre’s position as a hub for leading health and wellbeing brands. As well as the incoming The Massage Company, atria Watford is home to the Therapie Clinic and Herbal Inn, catering to the ever-growing number of consumers searching for access to wellbeing services.
The new facility will span 3,146 sq ft across two floors – 1,615 sq ft on the ground floor and 1,531 sq ft on the first floor, making it The Massage Company’s second largest unit to date. It is set to accommodate twelve single treatment rooms as well as one double treatment room to host its expert-led treatments, including Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish, and Maternity massages.
Rob Jewell, managing director, asset management at Pradera Lateral, commented: “We are committed to further enhancing atria Watford’s retail and leisure mix with brands that bring meaningful benefits to our customers and offer additional reasons to visit the centre. The Massage Company’s arrival reflects the growing demand for high-quality wellness experiences, and we are confident it will be a popular addition to our existing offering. After our hugely successful 2024, which saw 13 new brands open in atria Watford, 2025 is already shaping up to be another transformational year in the history of the centre.”
Kalpesh Shah, franchisee of The Massage Company, Watford, added: “atria Watford’s strong retail presence and high footfall year on year reinforces it as the perfect location for our expansion. The Massage Company is passionate about making wellbeing more accessible, making atria Watford the ideal environment for us to serve the local community.”
