The City of London’s historic Leadenhall Market is welcoming five new permanent tenants this autumn as part of the City’s evolving retail and dining transformation.

Following the success of recent pop-up markets that have driven significant weekend footfall, Leadenhall Market is expanding its seven-day offer with three new food operators bringing fresh lunch time options and two retailers serving both City workers and weekend visitors.

Just in time for Halloween, House of Wonders will open in the final weeks of October, bringing official Harry Potter merchandise to the Market, a fitting addition given Leadenhall’s role as a filming location in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The store will stock licensed collectibles, clothing, accessories and homeware from the wizarding world, plus Game of Thrones and Fantastic Beasts ranges.

SoLo Craft Fair has opened a permanent gift shop and workshop space, showcasing over 90 small businesses with products ranging from art and fashion to homeware. The store builds on SoLo’s role as one of the operators behind Leadenhall’s popular weekend markets.

Sfrigola marks its UK debut at Leadenhall, serving authentic Sicilian arancini prepared fresh in front of customers. The Sicilian-founded enterprise brings its signature crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside rice balls to London after successful expansion to Milan and Bucharest.

Buns From Home offers hand-rolled croissant buns and pastries baked fresh throughout the day. From a lockdown baking project in 2020 to shops across London, the bakery now brings choices like savoury Marmite and Cheese or sweet Dubai Choc to Leadenhall’s lunchtime crowd.

Chango Empanadas serves handcrafted Argentine empanadas with classic beef, chicken and vegetarian fillings. Founder Bernardo Neville draws on traditional techniques from his upbringing in Tucumán, Argentina, alongside authentic pantry goods including Dulce de Leche and Alfajores.

Ollie Goode, asset manager at Leadenhall Market, said: “Leadenhall Market continues to evolve as a thriving destination seven days a week. These five permanent additions strengthen our mix of specialist food operators and distinctive independent retailers, offering City workers great new lunchtime options while enhancing our weekend appeal for visitors exploring the Market’s historic architecture – with a touch of Harry Potter magic.”
