Wild Boar Burger for DogsFresh dog food delivery brand Years.com has unveiled its latest gourmet creation, the Wild Boar Quarter Pounder, With Cheese, a nutritionally complete meal designed for the UK’s most indulgently fed pets.

The launch arrives as new research from the brand reveals that Cockapoos are officially the UK’s most culinary-spoiled dogs, with owners spending 34% more on gourmet meals than the average pooch.

A wild new dish for spoiled ups

The Wild Boar Quarter Pounder for Dogs features a juicy wild boar burger stacked with gourmet twists — Celeriac Onions, Pumpkin Mustard, Courgette Gherkins, and a Cheese-Free Slice — all in a toasted sesame seed bun, accompanied by Golden Parsnip Fries on the side.

Darren Beale,  Founder and CEO of Years.com, said:

“If your Cockapoo is already feasting on truffle pizzas and hotpots, our new nutritionally complete Wild Boar Burger is the next level of indulgence. Because in 2025, dogs really do dine finer than their humans.”Cockapoos crowned UK’s most culinary-spoiled dogs

Owners spend 34% more on gourmet meals than the average pooch, with Steak & Kidney Hotpot their dish of choice.

 Key stats at a glance

  • Pet owners in the South East spend £220 more per year than those in Yorkshire & Humberside — that’s 22.8% higher.

  • Cockapoo owners spend £1,207 a year, which is 34% above the national breed average.

  • Jack Russell owners are the most budget-conscious, spending just £806 a year — 33% less than Cockapoo owners.

  • Golden Retriever owners spend £1,034 annually, about 14% less than Cockapoo owners.
French Bulldog owners spend £891 a year, which is 26% lower than Cockapoo owners.

Cockapoos have been crowned the UK’s most culinary-indulged dogs, with owners spending 34% more than the national average on premium meals, according to new research from fresh dog food delivery brand Years.com.

The data, drawn from over a year of feeding habits across the UK, shows that Cockapoo parents are shelling out an average of £1,207 a year on meals for their furry friends — an average of £134 every four weeks. That makes them 17% more spoiled than Labradors (£1,011) and 14% more than Golden Retrievers (£1,034).

Their gourmet favourites? Steak & Kidney Mushroom Hotpot paired with indulgent extras like Harvest Rewards.

Darren Beale comments, “The statistics released today show that Cockapoo owners spend significantly more on premium food options for their pets compared to owners of other popular breeds. This trend has remained consistent over the past 12 months across all regions in the UK.

What’s particularly striking is the difference in regional preferences. We’ve seen this pattern develop alongside the rising popularity of Cockapoos, which combine the intelligence of Poodles with the friendly nature of Cocker Spaniels, making them a breed that owners clearly feel deserves premium nutrition.

Dog owners are increasingly treating their pets as family members, choosing restaurant-quality meals rather than standard dog food. This reflects a broader shift toward premium pet nutrition that we’ve observed developing over several years.”

The UK’s top five most culinary-spoiled breeds

  1. Cockapoo – £1,207 per year (favourites: Steak & Kidney Hotpot, Harvest Rewards)

  2. Golden Retriever – £1,034 (favourites: Steak & Kidney Hotpot, Sea Cookies)

  3. Labrador – £1,011 (favourites: Turkey Thigh Cranberry Fricassee, Chicken Brainy Bites)

  4. German Shepherd – £1,001 (favourites: Pork Shoulder Sage & Apple Stew, Sea Cookies)

  5. Border Collie – £1,007 (favourites: Chicken Mediterranean Casserole, Harvest Rewards)

Cockapoos cost their owners £196 more per year than Labradors and £401 more than Jack Russells (£806), the breed with the most modest spending in the study.

Culinary hotspots across the UK

Regionally, dogs in the South East (£1,184) lead the charge, spending 22.8% more than Yorkshire & Humberside (£964). Other high-spending regions include:

  • East of England: £1,105 — 14.6% more than Yorkshire

  • East Midlands: £1,101 — 14.2% more than Yorkshire

  • South West: £1,094 — 13.5% more than Yorkshire

  • Greater London: £1,061 — 10.1% more than Yorkshire

Other breeds also showed distinct foodie personalities:

  • Dachshunds: partial to Salmon & Cauliflower Bake, despite modest spend (£833).

  • Pugs: favour Chicken Mediterranean Casseroles.

  • Jack Russells: prefer Pork Shoulder Sage & Apple Stew.
