Woods FurnitureFamily-owned furniture business Woods Furniture is the latest brand to join the line-up at Castlepoint following an exceptional year for the leading South Coast destination.

Established in 1875, Woods operates two successful stores in Dorchester and will introduce its furniture collections and an extensive selection of home accessories, including vases, faux florals, rugs, cushions, throws and ornaments to Castlepoint’s shoppers. Woods’ new 8,438 sq ft store will complement the scheme’s existing homeware line-up as Castlepoint’s first dedicated furniture brand, joining the likes of Home Sense, Easy Bathrooms, ProCook, TK Maxx and Next.

The letting follows an exceptional year at Castlepoint, during which the destination welcomed over 8 million visitors and retailers delivered outstanding trading performance. This continued momentum underscores the success of Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Delancey’s proactive management strategy in responding to consumer demand for a diverse and engaging retail experience.

A spokesperson on behalf of the joint venture owners of Castlepoint commented: “We are looking forward to welcoming Woods Furniture as Castlepoint’s first dedicated furniture brand. The brand’s presence will strengthen our homeware proposition and meet consumer demand for a diverse and well-rounded shopping experience. As part of our proactive asset management strategy, we remain in ongoing discussions with a range of retailers, and following an excellent year in 2025, demand from occupiers remains high”.

Charlie English, marketing director at Woods Furniture, added: “We’re excited to be opening at Castlepoint and seeing shoppers explore our fantastic range of furniture in styles to suit any home. Woods Furniture was established in 1875 in the heart of Dorset and our Dorchester home has allowed the local customer base to enjoy well priced, quality furniture and top-notch customer service for over 150 years. Fully independent and family owned, we have long been inspiring homes in the area but are now branching out to Castlepoint. This prime location in East Dorset will provide both current and new shoppers easier access for those looking for new, quality additions to their homes”.
