Aldi’s Specially Selected range surpasses £1.6bn in annual sales, up 11% year on year

Aldi's Specially Selected range Aldi’s award-winning Specially Selected range has surpassed £1.6bn in annual sales – up 11% year-on-year – as shoppers increasingly choose to create restaurant-quality food at home.

Almost 16 million households purchased more than 500 million products from the range over the past 12 months, making Aldi the UK’s second most popular supermarket for premium own-label food and drink, based on shopper numbers*.

From premium Wagyu steaks to trend-led wines and seasonal entertaining ranges, the line-up reflects shoppers’ growing appetite for affordable luxury when dining at home.

Much of this growth has been driven by shoppers switching spend from branded products into Aldi’s premium own-label range, with premium fresh ranges leading the charge. Sales of Specially Selected Wagyu have also increased by over 40% year-on-year, while the launch of Aldi’s largest-ever Specially Selected range helped drive double-digit growth.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “Reaching £1.6bn in Specially Selected sales shows how our shoppers are redefining what value means – they want exceptional quality without compromise. We’re seeing this play out week after week, whether through our Wagyu range which continues to fly off our shelves, or our Specially Selected cheeses, desserts and wines which remain hugely popular with customers.

“People are creating meaningful food experiences at home, from Easter Sunday lunches to midweek date nights, and we’re proud to make that possible with restaurant-quality products at affordable Aldi prices.”

With more than 1,000 products available throughout the year, the Specially Selected range includes premium fresh meat, artisan bakery items, international delicatessen products and indulgent treats, all sourced from trusted suppliers and available at Aldi’s everyday low prices.

The range also spans into wine, with Specially Selected bottles such as Muscadelle (£9.99, 75cl) and Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc (£6.49, 75cl) included in Aldi’s newly launched Spring/Summer wine collection inspired by popular holiday destinations and city wine bars.

Aldi was named Which? Cheapest Supermarket of the Year for the fifth consecutive year in 2025 and the Specially Selected range has received wider industry recognition, winning 193 industry awards in 2025, including Own-Label Range of the Year at the Quality Food Awards.
