Warner’s Distillery launches alcohol-free botanical aperitif

This autumn, Warner’s Distillery is bringing proper British flavour to aperitif hour with the launch of Warner’s Botanical Aperitif (RRP £20.00), a bittersweet, non- alcoholic drink made with real ingredients for real moments together.

Handcrafted at Falls Farm in Northamptonshire and available exclusively at M&S nationwide, the new aperitif takes inspiration from a Haymaker’s Punch, once enjoyed by farmers working in the fields. With farming in its roots, Warner’s has given this traditional recipe a delicious modern twist, creating a thirst-quenching British aperitif made for how people want to drink today.

Rather than trying to mimic an alcoholic drink, Warner’s Botanical Aperitif offers something genuinely new and delicious in its own right. Created for food lovers, Warner’s fans and anyone choosing to drink more mindfully while looking beyond sweet and simple alcohol-free options, it delivers the bitter and complex flavours of a proper aperitif.

Whether poured before dinner, enjoyed while getting stuck into small plates with friends, shared over a long weekend lunch or reached for as part of a well-earned switch-off ritual, Warner’s Botanical Aperitif is packed with flavour and refreshingly simple to serve, bringing a sense of occasion to moments without alcohol.

At the heart of the recipe is raw apple cider vinegar, which brings natural acidity and bite, balanced and softened by silky wildflower honey. Farm-grown lavender, lovage, angelica root, chamomile, roasted dandelion root, gentian root and wormwood root combine with zesty orange and grapefruit peel and cardamom.

The result is earthy, floral and bittersweet, with bright citrus, herbs and elegant gentian-led bitterness, followed by a long, refined finish with botanical bitterness, citrus peel and a clean, thirst-quenching taste. Made with real ingredients for real flavour, Warner’s Botanical Aperitif delivers the great taste Warner’s is known for.

Try Warner’s Botanical Aperitif served simply with soda over plenty of ice:

  • 25ml Warner’s Botanical Aperitif
  • 175ml chilled soda water

Easy to make and packed with flavour, it is equally delicious with tonic, mixed into cocktails or served with sparkling wine.

Tina Warner-Keogh, co-founder of Warner’s Distillery, says: “We wanted to create a real farm-grown aperitif that people would genuinely look forward to pouring, whether they are drinking alcohol or not. We can see that with changes in lifestyle and eating habits (me included!) consumers are looking for different and new tastes to the “me too” versions of alcoholic drinks.

“At Warner’s, we believe real tastes better, and we’re on a mission to save the world from mediocre drinks with our farm-grown philosophy. By bringing together raw apple cider vinegar, wildflower honey, bright citrus and botanicals grown on our farm, we’ve made something bittersweet and packed with flavour. It is brilliantly simple to serve and made for good food, good company and real moments together. It’s quite moreish!”

Laura Willoughby MBE, Founder of Club Soda, says: “Well this is just delicious. Punchy, botanical and bright. We see consumers favouring big, bold flavours when opting for alcohol- free and this ticks all of those boxes.”

Warner’s Botanical Aperitif has launched exclusively at M&S at £18 (M&S only), joining Warner’s existing non-alcoholic range, including the fruity, fragrant and tangy Pink Berry 0% Spirit and the herbal, aromatic and zesty Juniper Double Dry 0% Spirit, bringing even more real farm-grown flavour to moments without alcohol.
