PANE unveils its first pop-up space in Paris under the theme Le PANE du Jour, marking the opening chapter of PLOOS, the brand’s global city cultural initiative. Drawing inspiration from bread, an essential part of Parisian everyday life, PANE collaborates with four local creatives to capture the stories, encounters, and observations that shape the city’s ever-evolving daily rhythms, initiating a deeper dialogue with local communities in Europe.
On October 29, 2026, the brand officially opened its pop-up at the iconic Parisian department store Le Bon Marché, beginning a retail residency lasting just over two months. More than PANE’s first physical retail experience in Europe, this milestone represents an important step in building a globally connected yet locally rooted cultural narrative and establishing a long-term international presence.
As the inaugural city chapter of PLOOS, PANE’s global city cultural initiative, Paris becomes a starting point for meaningful connections with local creatives and communities through interviews, conversations, collaborations, and exhibitions. In every new city, PANE embarks on a temporary yet meaningful residency. Each creative expression is rooted in the local culture, shaped by the people and places it encounters. Rather than replicating the story of a previous destination, PANE works with local communities to create something that belongs uniquely to each city.
Taking inspiration from the French phrase “Le Pain du Jour,” meaning “bread of the day,” PANE introduces “Le PANE du Jour,” a playful reinterpretation that marks the beginning of its Paris chapter. Beginning with the most familiar moments of the city’s everyday life, the project explores the relationships between people, places, food, and daily rituals. For this chapter, PANE invited Paris-based creatives to take part in a series of conversations and activations. Following the neighborhoods and everyday settings familiar to each of them, the project brings together personal interviews and visual storytelling to reveal different perspectives on life in Paris.
Le PANE du Jour extends beyond the screen and into the city itself, with all events and activations celebrating and revolving around the launch of the pop-up at Le Bon Marché:
Off Campus (October 2)
From October 1 to 22, PANE hosted an installation at the bookstore and café Off Campus, highlighted by an activation on October 2. The evening brought together a distinct group of collaborators: author and ARTE documentary director Nesrine Slaoui led a talk and open Q&A on identity and inequality, ceramicist Sofia de Moser Leitão showcased on-site works, and Top Chef winner Jorick Dorignac curated a custom menu.
Sugaar (October 22)
To celebrate its Paris residency, PANE hosted an intimate dinner at Sugaar with key friends and creative partners, including models Lulu Tenney and Debra Shaw. The gathering transitioned into late-night celebrations with a live performance by Beesau and a DJ set from Andy4000.
Cortado Bakery (October 27 – November 2, 2026)
The project wrapped with a takeover at Cortado Bakery, bringing PANE’s exploration of bread and daily life into an authentic Parisian neighborhood setting. Grounded in the brand’s guiding philosophy, “Behave as Mortals,” community figures including Amina Ktefan, Elsa Danielson, and Dan Vedmediuc came together to celebrate PANE’s growing footprint in Paris.
Pop-Up Space Design & The Dyno Collection Launch
From October 29, 2026, to January 2, 2027, PANE brings its Paris pop-up to the second floor of Le Bon Marché.
Guided by the design concept From Nature to City, the space centers on a continuous arrangement of modular display structures, bringing together the raw textures and refined surfaces of stone, the transparency of glass, and the interplay of wood, metal, and brass. Footwear is displayed across structures of varying heights and proportions, creating a rhythm of movement and discovery within a layered landscape that echoes the varied silhouettes of urban architecture. Moving from the raw character of natural materials toward the considered order of the urban environment, the space reflects PANE’s design language, which draws from timeless classics while adapting to contemporary city life. In this way, Le PANE du Jour moves beyond observing Parisian everyday life, taking shape as a tangible space that invites visitors to become part of the experience.
The Paris pop-up also marks the global launch of PANE’s all-new Dyno collection. This significant introduction not only represents a bold expansion of the brand’s footwear portfolio, but also signals PANE’s evolution beyond the niche fashion segment into a new territory where fashion meets sport. Inspired by professional bouldering gears, rebuilt for urban daily scenarios, PANE DYNO went light on overly sporty exaggerated features, retains the sleek grip contour, stable support logic and low profile athletic proportion. The design perfectly converts style and aesthetics tailored for urban explorers who pursue both personality and practicality, captures the bouldering culture and integrates it into daily commuting, walking and casual styling, restrained and textured lifestyle sneakers that balance the agility and everyday ease. Through this collection, PANE brings elevated aesthetics into practical everyday wear, expanding its design vocabulary across diverse footwear categories and offering a fresh perspective on contemporary urban dressing and the emerging lifestyle of light, everyday movement.
