SeasaltCreative Cornish clothing brand Seasalt opened its latest store in Sheffield on Saturday 13th May with a new 156 square metre shop at Meadowhall, creating 14 new jobs for the area.

This is the seventh Seasalt store to open in Yorkshire and builds on the success of existing shops in York, Harrogate, Leeds, Beverley, Fox Valley and Northallerton. As a retailer with over 1,000 employees, the new shop demonstrates the brand’s continued support for the high street.

At Seasalt, every piece of clothing is designed with sustainability in mind. With clothing created from recycled fibres, responsibly managed plant sources and GOTS-certified organic clothing, each element is carefully considered to create styles that stand the test of time. This sustainable, forward-thinking extends to the shop design. At Meadowhall, all fixtures and fittings have been chosen for their sustainable features and with longevity and flexibility in mind. The new shop will utilise UK-sourced materials to create versatile furniture and fittings that can be moved, reused and repurposed.

This provides the perfect backdrop to showcase Seasalt’s latest clothing and accessory collection.  Everything is designed in the studio in Falmouth Bay, where Seasalt’s team of in-house designers draw inspiration from the wild coastlines, rich history and vibrant towns of their Cornish home. The county’s heritage is reflected in distinctive hand-drawn prints and natural materials. Dedicated to inspiring people to dress with creativity and confidence, Seasalt produces a diverse range of beautiful clothing reflecting its inclusivity ethos. Featuring sizes ranging from 6 to 28, alongside petite, regular and tall styles, Seasalt’s collections cater for everyone.

Seasalt’s director of retail, Richie Edwards, comments: “We are really excited to be opening a new store in Meadowhall – it is a great destination for us and our seventh shop in the region. We strive to create a great shopping experience for our customers, and we hope to welcome existing customers, along with a whole new Seasalt audience, through our doors.”

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall, added: “We’re pleased to bring Seasalt to Meadowhall. The brand’s Cornish heritage and sustainable offering make it a really exciting addition that compliments the strong mix of fashion retailers already at the centre.”

The new Seasalt store is based on the High Street at Meadowhall, Sheffield, S9 1EP.
