Flying Tiger Copenhagen has opened its brand-new store at Metrocentre in Gateshead.

On Thursday 2nd November, the Danish variety retailer celebrated its grand opening with a number of exciting giveaways for shoppers.

The first 100 people through its doors received a free goodie bag packed full of treats; from things that make you smile, gifts you’ll want to give and things you want to try and share with others.

Little shoppers still on half term could have their faces painted in store by local artist, Ruby Lemon and customers who purchase a notebook in store on open day had the chance to have it personalised with an illustration on the front cover, made by artist and illustrator, Jaqueline Bissett .

The launch was also supported with a number of exciting giveaways hosted on the brand’s social media channels.

With the countdown to Christmas now firmly on, the store launched with its first sweep of festive stock, giving shoppers the chance to get ahead on scouting for decorations, gifts and holiday essentials.

Ben Cox of Sovereign Centros, senior asset manager for Metrocentre, comments: “Flying Tiger Copenhagen is a fantastic addition to the Green Mall.  With their huge and varied product lines and popular seasonal ranges there’s always something new for our shoppers to discover.

“The store will shortly be joined in the Green Mall by a new flagship showroom for Goldsmiths and a brand-new Rolex boutique to further enhance the appeal of the mall.”

The new Flying Tiger Copenhagen store can be found directly opposite Boots on the lower Green Mall.
