IKEA lowers prices across thousands of products

As part of its long-term commitment to provide a more affordable, sustainable life at home for its customers, IKEA UK will today lower prices on thousands of its products.

The retailer announced the rolling out of New Lower Prices on more than 1,500 items from 11th January, with more than 2,500 products in total to be reduced by this spring.

It follows improvements to purchasing goods costs in 2023, after a challenging period in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The easing of cost pressures has enabled the retailer to pass £100m in savings to customers.

New Lower Prices will be a long-term change to pricing. It follows price reductions across IKEA UK’s kitchens and accessories ranges, with over 1,300 items reduced in autumn last year.

Shoppers will see price drops on some of IKEA’s best-selling items across Bedrooms, Living Rooms, Kitchens, Children’s, Storage and more, supporting customers during what continues to be a challenging cost living environment for many.

Michaela Quinlan, chief commercial officer at IKEA UK and Ireland, said: “By reducing the price of thousands of much-loved IKEA products, particularly at a time when cost of living pressures continue to affect so many, we’re staying true to our vision of creating a better everyday life at home. Keeping prices as low as possible is in our DNA and it’s a priority for us to do all we can to make our products affordable, sustainable and accessible to as many people as possible.”

Among IKEA’s New Lower Price items are:

MALM

IKEA’s popular MALM range will see bedside tables, bedframes and chests of drawers drop in price, with the latter down to £79 from £99, and a dressing table with a New Lower Price of £89 from £99.

HEMNES

Another of IKEA’s most popular ranges, HEMNES will be among New Lower Prices, with a HEMNES dressing table priced at £159 from £179. Meanwhile, there’s money off a double bed frame, down to £194 from £244.

KALLAX

KALLAX units are stylish, simple cube storage shelving and there’s New Lower Prices on various shelving units and inserts, such as a grey KALLAX shelving unit, down to £115 from £150, and inserts starting at a new reduced price of £9 down from £12.

BESTÅ

With BESTÅ, you can design a cupboard, sideboard, TV bench and various other storage solutions which are suitable for your needs, with New Lower Prices starting at £10 on storage systems, and TV benches priced at £70 down from £80, with glass panels starting at £20 with £5 off the price.

BRIMNES

BRIMNES living room storage and display units are among the reductions, with a TV bench down to £80 from £87, along with bookcases which are down to £85 from £99. Meanwhile, a display cabinet is £90 down from £99.

EKET

IKEA’s EKET modular storage systems will see reduced pricing on open storage wall cabinets, down to £12 from £17, and suspension rails for assembly are down to £3 from £5.

LACK

Within IKEA’s LACK range, larger wall shelves have £5 off down to £20, while smaller ones are down to as little as £5 from £8 among the New Lower Prices. You can also save money on a coffee table, down to £19 from £22.

IKEA’s New Lower Price items will appear as part of a phased roll-out by IKEA which commences 11th January.

Current promotions

Those shopping can also make the most of IKEA UK’s latest offers, with free standard delivery currently running on parcel orders over £60 (up to 15kg) until 31st January. In addition, truck delivery is available starting at £25 for one person delivery, down from £40, until 29th February. Parcel and truck promotions are separate to IKEA’s New Lower Prices and will be available for a limited time only.

Those shopping kitchens can also benefit from a 15% reduction on IKEA’s kitchen installation service.
