Timotei launches multi-channel campaign featuring Laura Whitmore

TimoteiHair care brand Timotei has launched a new multi-channel campaign to promote the brand’s new podcast series.

‘A Gentle Start: The Showercast’ features celebrity guests Laura Whitmore, Amber Gill, Martine McCutcheon, Chessie King, and Ashley James.

Each episode sees the guests, for the first time ever, give an open and intimate account of their life stories.

From navigating motherhood, to dealing with negativity online and managing their own high expectations, the new podcast series dives into each guest’s daily struggles and how they’ve learnt to adapt and embrace gentle living into their routines.

The podcast series is being launched via social, PR and a paid partnership with Spotify, and was devised by creative comms agency, Taylor Herring, with production executed by St Mark’s Studios.

The launch of the podcast follows new research by Timotei that reveals 86% of Brits are adopting the ‘gentle living’ trend – a way of life that involves being kind, calm, and soft.

To mark the launch of episode 1, guest Laura Whitmore starred in a striking photo shoot, blending seamlessly into a wildflower meadow and a luxury bathroom.

Painted by world-renowned artist Carolyn Roper, the eight-hour setup features Laura camouflaged among Timothy grass, rosemary, and jasmine, and later reclining in a roll-top bath, representing two of the top places the UK are embracing the art of gentle living.

A Gentle Start: The Showercast’ from Timotei features:

  • Episode 1: Laura Whitmore: Taking Control of Your Destiny
  • Episode 2: Martine McCutcheon: Mind, Body, McCutcheon
  • Episode 3: Amber Gill: Empathy to Entrepreneur
  • Episode 4: Ashley James: Juggle is Massive
  • Episode 5: Chessie King: Calm in the Chaos

Timotei’s ‘A Gentle Start: The Showercast’ can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music and other leading podcast platforms.

Sam Corry, Managing Partner at Taylor Herring, said: “We knew our target market was a huge consumer of podcast content, but to cut through we had to innovate the format. We ditched the standard presenter format, and instead we let our guests’ stream of consciousness flow, as they opened up about intimate and emotional subjects. The result? A series that is unfiltered, raw and real”.
