Indulgence meets impact: Gü earns prestigious B-Corp certification

Gü, the premium indulgent treats brand known for its irresistible creations and iconic glass ramekins, has achieved a major accomplishment by officially becoming a certified B Corporation. With an impressive score for a first-time certification of 89.4, Gü joins fewer than 100 manufacturers across all industries in the UK to achieve this prestigious status. This accomplishment reflects Gü’s mission to craft “the most indulgent treats for a happier world” while taking positive steps toward sustainability and social impact.

Sustainability at the core
At the heart of Gü’s commitment to sustainability are its innovative glass ramekins. Made with at least 54% recycled glass and fully recyclable, these ramekins are designed not only to enhance everyday life but also to inspire a culture of reuse and creativity in the home. Durable and versatile, they’ve become a favourite among consumers, who reuse them for everything from candle holders to mini plant pots or for stylish uses at dinner parties and special events.

One of the many innovative reuses of Gü ramekins

Each ramekin reflects Gü’s focus on reducing waste and aligning with B-Corp values, offering a high-quality product built to last and spark new ideas.

As part of their sustainability drive, Gü has partnered with FareShare to support their mission of tackling food waste for social good, providing over 50,000 surplus ramekins last year, that would have otherwise gone to waste. This generous contribution helped FareShare give a treat to those in need. In addition, Gü launched a volunteering day where employees helped FareShare with the packing and distribution of goods.

Now, with its B-Corp certification, Gü is expanding its sustainability focus even further. The company is committed to understanding and reducing its environmental impact. By 2025, Gü plans to formalise its commitment to the Science-Based Targets Initiative, setting clear long- and short-term goals to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Pete Utting, CEO of Gü, shares: “I’m proud of the progress we’ve made over the last couple of years, doubling our B-Corp points to achieve this accreditation. We’re just at the start of this journey as we fully commit to keeping ESG at the heart of our business. Alongside our sustainability agenda, Indulgence will also remain central to everything we do as we bring a little happiness for our consumers, employees, and local communities, while taking responsibility for our impact on the planet.”

Perfect for reusing in and around the home

What sets Gü apart
Achieving an impressive score for a first-time B-Corp certification of 89.4 highlights Gü’s commitment to progress and accountability. As one of fewer than 100 manufacturers across all industries in the UK with this certification, Gü will continue to combine indulgence with responsibility, offering eco-conscious products that meet modern consumer values.

Why this matters
With consumers increasingly prioritising sustainability, Gü’s B-Corp certification underscores its role in driving meaningful change. From designing products that inspire reuse to setting measurable goals for reducing emissions, Gü demonstrates that indulgence and positive impact can go hand in hand.
