Today, health and beauty retailer Superdrug is announcing its latest charity partnership with leading Irish charity LauraLynn as part of its expansion across the Republic of Ireland. LauraLynn is Ireland’s only children’s hospice and the charity, now in its 13th year, provides palliative care and support for children with life limiting conditions and their families all across Ireland.

Superdrug support LauraLynn through a range of important initiatives, including dedicated coinboxes in 11 of their Ireland stores and later on this year through the Pennies campaign, making it easy for customers to make micro-donations when paying by card.

This partnership forms part of Superdrug’s commitment to supporting customers, people, and communities through much-needed donations and events, allowing them to continue to champion these all important causes.

Superdrug CEO, Peter Macnab said: “Our charity partnerships form part of our mission to help drive positive change in our communities. The partnership with LauraLynn allows us to continue to be a force for good as we expand our retail offering across the Republic of Ireland and is a natural extension of our long-term partnership with our hero charity, Marie Curie.”

Gillian Neary, head of fundraising from LauraLynn, added: “We are so excited about this partnership with Superdrug and for the positive impact we can make together. We want to thank Superdrug for this important commitment to help children who need palliative care and their families who need support. A bit of spare change can really contribute to something truly meaningful so please keep an eye out for our coin boxes in your local Superdrug store.”

From its purpose-built hospice in Dublin, end-of-life and bereavement care, to planned short breaks for families, LauraLynn relies on fundraised income to provide its vital, free-of-charge services. The organisation is supporting more children and families than ever before and in 2024 cared for 670 families from across Ireland.
