Hilltop launches new hot honey condiments: Smoky Chipotle and Spicy Peri-Peri Hot Honey

HilltopHilltop, the UK’s second largest honey brand, expands its product portfolio with an innovative range of hot honey condiments. The range will launch with Peri-Peri and Smoky Chipotle exclusively into Tesco in November, complete with a disruptive new label design to help bring the heat to the condiments aisle.

Following the success of Hilltop’s Original Hot Honey, Tesco’s number one best-performing honey NPD launched in 2024, the new range has been expertly crafted to deliver even more of what shoppers know and love. The hot honey trend shows no signs of cooling off with #hothoney amassing over 100 million views on TikTok over the past year, marking a 372% year-on-year increase.

While Original Hot Honey is found in the honey aisle, new consumer research indicates that 82% of consumers would expect to find hot honey in the condiment aisle. Hilltop’s latest launch will therefore mark the brand’s first listing in the condiment aisle, a category worth £426m in the UK.

Perfect for drizzling over pizza, chicken, tacos, or roasted vegetables, Hilltop’s Peri-Peri and Smoky Chipotle Hot Honeys combine the natural sweetness of honey with a fiery kick, creating a unique balance of ‘swicy’ heat and flavour that turns ordinary moments into taste adventures.

Scott Davies, founder of Hilltop Honey says: “Customers are looking for bold, adventurous flavour experiences but don’t want to compromise on health. They are looking for clean label, natural products like hot honey, which boasts 100% natural ingredients. Our new range taps into both trends, brings excitement to the condiment category, showcases the versatility and natural properties of honey and most importantly, attracts new younger shoppers.”

The new Hilltop Hot Honey condiment range will launch exclusively in Tesco stores nationwide in November with an RRP of £2.75 for a 350g squeezy bottle.
