The UK’s first Mega Dips are here thanks to Popeyes® UK

Popeyes® UK Feeling saucy? But never have enough dip to dunk? Well, fans are in luck, as Popeyes® has taken some of its most iconic dips and made them supersized. Enter: The Mega Dip and Big Dip ranges – featuring big and bigger versions of the famous Ranch, Kickback and warm Cheese dips. After taking social media by storm, these crowd-pleasing Dips are now available nationwide as a menu staple.

Fans asked for more, and Popeyes® listened. For the first time ever, and a UK-first for quick service restaurants, three of its delicious dips have been levelled-up into mega-sized cups – designed for the ultimate fried chicken, fries, or even biscuit dunkin’ (or drizzling) experience. Customers can now choose between the jumbo versions of the New Orleans-born brand’s most-loved dips – The Mega Ranch, The Mega Kickback, and this year’s festive edition – The Mega Cheese. The best-selling Ranch dip adds a classic tangy and creamy twist to Popeyes® orders; for a smoky, tangy and pickle flavour fans can try the signature Kickback, or dive into The Mega Cheese; a rich, festive and velvety warm cheddar sauce.

The supersized launch has been causing a frenzy since being unveiled across select menus last month. Popeyes® has already sold 115,000 portions of its Mega and Big Dips – that’s the equivalent of almost a whole swimming pool of tasty dip that has been sold across the country. Fans have also taken to social media to share their thoughts on the divisive new range, as well as their own Mukbang-style taste tests which have racked up over a whopping 4.6 million views to date.

“Booked annual leave to take a trip to Popeyes”, said one user sharing their excitement on TikTok. “I WANT… no I NEED”, exclaimed another. It’s even sparked some jealousy around the world, with customers in the USA and The Netherlands expressing serious food FOMO, and begging for The Mega Dips to arrive on their menus. But other users aren’t so sure about the cup-sized sauces. “Cup of ranch looking like a milkshake I feel I’d drink it by accident ”, shared one user. Another asked: “what do you do with all the leftover sauce”, to which a user replied “Drink it” – the launch has well and truly turned the way Brits enjoy their dip on its head.

And that’s not all, as Popeyes® is also welcoming in The Big Dips range – slightly smaller, but still substantial 160ml pots of the three dip flavours, they’re the ideal choice for fans who want to give their meal a little extra dippin’ energy. Due to the success seen from fans, Popeyes UK has decided to roll these new menu items out nationwide, to all 100 stores, so everyone can get a dip of the action.

Dave Hoskins, head of food at Popeyes® UK, said: “We know how much our fans love our huge range of dips, so we’re so excited to give them even more to enjoy with their meal, with the all-new Mega Dips and Big Dips. And we’ve already seen such a huge reception to the launch – almost 20,000 litres of sauce has been dunked and drizzled over Popeyes orders in the last three weeks!

“Inspired by the worldwide love for huge dips, we thought it was about time to bring that extra bit of sauce to Popeyes® fans in the UK. Whether it be our fan-favourite Ranch or the specially-festive warm Cheese sauce, and our Cajun-inspired smoky signature Kickback sauce, these oversized dips are the perfect pairing for our famous Shatter Crunchin’ chicken, and are here to bring full, maximum flavour to the menu.”

Popeyes®’ Mega Dips and Big Dips are available now in Popeyes® restaurants and drive-thrus nationwide*, on delivery and via the Popeyes® UK app. The Popeyes® UK app is available to download on iOS and Android now.
