Co-opCo-op is introducing a new range of branded halal products to over 110 stores across the UK to better serve its Muslim members and customers’ needs when shopping conveniently.

For the first time, the UK’s leading convenience retailer will provide shoppers with a complete range of trusted Halal brands across fresh meat, ready meals, frozen, desserts and food-to-go. Additionally, for 2026, Co-op will offer its most extensive range of branded Ramadan products to support communities celebrating throughout the UK.

Popular certified Halal brands included in Co-op’s new and permanent convenience range include cooked meats and snacks from Tahira, Najma, Takul and Island Delight, ready meals from Royal, frozen products from Humza and fresh meat from Shazans. Branded Halal products will also be introduced to Co-op’s popular lunchtime meal deal, including wraps from Zinda, alongside the already available Tuk-In range. Furthermore, Salaam Cola has also recently been added to Co-op’s on-the-go range to purchase individually or as part of the meal deal.

Kelly Orme, senior category manager at Co-op, said: “The launch of the branded halal range in our selected convenience stores is a major step in our journey to expand Co-op’s world food offering. Catering to the varied dietary requirements of our members and shoppers is really important and means we can meet the needs of the many diverse communities we serve across the country, so everyone can feel welcomed and valued.

“Importantly, we’ve listened to our Muslim colleagues and customers to develop the new convenient halal range and we’re confident that the offering truly supports cultural and community needs.”

In addition to the branded halal roll out, Co-op will offer its members and customers with the widest Ramadan range ever in stores this February and March, supporting Muslim shoppers celebrating the event. Co-op’s range of Ramadan products has grown in size by 241% year-on-year and will see well-loved brands such as Heera, Natco, Laila, KTC, Cofresh, Regal Bakery, Nayla and Zaytoun join the celebratory range.

Orme continues: “Our Ramadan offering for 2026 further supports our commitment to ensure that our members and shoppers needs are met during this important time of year. The range includes gifting products, snacks, treats and everyday essentials that our Muslim members and shoppers would expect to see in stores. We are the experts in convenience and we’re looking forward to serving our Muslim shoppers throughout Ramadan, wherever and whenever they may need us.”

The branded Halal range will be available in selected Co-op stores and online at shop.coop.co.uk. For more information on Co-op’s branded Halal and Ramadan ranges, please visit: www.coop.co.uk/products/halal.
