AldiAldi has invested £122 million in lowering prices so far this year, as it continues to cut costs across hundreds of everyday products.

The UK’s cheapest supermarket has reduced prices on almost 500 items since the start of 2026, spanning fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care products, helping shoppers save more on their weekly shop.

Recent price cuts include Creme Fraiche now 75p from 85p, Protein Porridge Pots reduced to 59p from 69p, and Chickpeas down to 45p from 49p. Shoppers can also find savings on British Pork Shoulder Steak, now £4.29 from £4.39, alongside snacks such as Cashews and Almonds, both reduced to £1.69.

Further reductions include Premium Steam Bag Vegetables now £1.89 from £1.99, and Health Smoothies reduced to £1.49 from £1.99.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “We know that many households are continuing to feel the pressure of rising costs, which is why we’ve already invested £122 million in lowering prices this year and will continue to do everything we can to keep prices down for our customers.

“With nearly 500 products reduced so far in 2026, we’re helping shoppers make their money go further, without compromising on quality.”

Aldi was once again Britain’s cheapest supermarket in 2025, according to Which? analysis, with the most expensive supermarket costing on average 35 per cent more than an Aldi shop – potentially saving consumers hundreds of pounds over the course of a year.

The retailer has also started the year strongly, being named Which? Cheapest Supermarket for January, February and March 2026.
