Roebuck Estates opens Cellar Door and Tasting Room in Tillington

Roebuck EstatesRoebuck Estates, renowned for its exquisite collection of vintage English sparkling wines, has opened its Cellar Door and Tasting Room in Tillington, just outside the West Sussex market town of Petworth. Set in the South Downs, the new space looks out over the Estate’s vines and the rolling Sussex hills, giving visitors a relaxed way to discover the wines and the craft behind every bottle. It is a shop, and a place to stay a while. Visitors can enjoy a glass of vintage English sparkling wine with friends and family any day of the week.

Open daily for complimentary tastings of Roebuck’s award-winning Classic Collection, guests can also choose to enjoy a tutored flight of three vintage sparkling wines, with Roebuck’s expert team on hand to guide them through their tasting. A curated selection of chilled bottles is on hand to take home, alongside a range of gifts and wine accessories.

“We wanted to create somewhere that feels like Roebuck: relaxed, welcoming and rooted in the place our wines come from,” says Michael Kennedy, CEO at Roebuck Estates. “Our new Cellar Door lets people taste what we produce whilst looking out over the vineyard and enjoy a glass with friends, all year-round. For us, this opening is an important step in bringing people to the heart of Roebuck Estates, and in helping us share what we do.”

A brand with Sussex at its heart

The opening comes at a time of strong growth for Roebuck Estates, who have seen sales double year-on-year, rising to 80% growth in 2025. Roebuck’s wines are now available through national retailers including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Majestic, but Sussex remains at the heart of the fast-growing producer. That shows in its local partnerships, including Sussex County Cricket Club and Brighton & Hove Museums. This summer, Roebuck also opened the first seasonal pop-up bar dedicated to English sparkling wine at the Royal Pavilion Rooms in Brighton, bringing the vineyard to the city. The Cellar Door now offers an enticing reason to visit the vineyard itself, all year-round.

  • Members of Roebuck’s Vintage Cru Wine Club (here) receive 15% off wine purchases at the Cellar Door, while subscribers to the Sparkling Cru newsletter (here) receive 10% off.
