The announcement marks the next chapter in Roebuck’s growing relationship with the RHS. As the official sparkling wine partner of the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival for two consecutive years, Roebuck cemented its reputation as the natural choice for discerning garden lovers, outselling all Champagne and Prosecco combined in both years of its partnership; a remarkable testament to the rising appetite for premium English sparkling wine.
As the first English sparkling wine producer chosen to partner with the RHS in this capacity, Roebuck’s expansion to the RHS Badminton Flower Show reflects both the continued momentum of the category and the strength of the brand’s presence at RHS events.
Roebuck’s vintage sparkling wines will be poured throughout the show; visitors can enjoy a glass or bottle of Roebuck’s most delectable wines from their Classic Collection at the Roebuck Sparkling Wine Tipi and Lakeside Restaurant, whilst enjoying the picturesque views over the lake. Alternatively, guests can purchase a glass-to-go from the various cafés and bars located throughout the show.
Michael Kennedy, CEO of Roebuck Estates, will take to the stage at 3pm on Saturday 11 July, engaging guests with his insight on the golden era of English wine and viticulture.
“We are absolutely delighted to be extending our partnership with the RHS to this wonderful new show,” comments Kennedy. “The RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival demonstrated just how enthusiastically garden lovers embrace great English sparkling wine, and we can’t wait to bring that same energy to the beautiful setting of Badminton. This is a hugely exciting new chapter for Roebuck, and for English sparkling wine more broadly.”
Visitors to the RHS Badminton Flower Show will be able to enjoy a range of Roebuck’s vintage collection, including both the 2019 Classic Cuvée and Rosé de Noirs, and 2018 Blanc de Noirs, while its Reserve 2020 will be available throughout the Show’s bars and cafes.
Roebuck’s appointment as sparkling wine partner of the RHS Badminton Flower Show comes at a time of significant growth for the producer, with sales growing at an average of 50% year-on-year, as well as for the English sparkling wine category.
Founded in 2013 and dedicated to producing exceptional vintage sparkling wines from carefully selected vineyards across Sussex and Kent, Roebuck has remained committed to sustainability, biodiversity and long-term land stewardship since releasing its first wine in 2019. A founding member of Sustainable Wines of Great Britain (SWGB), the producer incorporates a wide range of ecological practices across its six vineyard parcels, from low-impact viticulture to the installation of wildflower meadows, beehives, bird boxes and insect habitats.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Roebuck Estates this year at the inaugural RHS Badminton Flower Show,” addsIsobel Coulter, show project manager for the RHS. “It’s wonderful to celebrate the success of English viticulture and offer a quality English sparkling wine to our visitors as they enjoy their summer day out.”
