Superdrug has officially reopened its refurbished store at The Harlequin Shopping Centre in Watford, following a 17-week transformation project. The extensive refurbishment and expansion marks the latest milestone in Superdrug’s ongoing investment in its bricks-and-mortar portfolio, bringing customers an enhanced shopping experience across beauty, health and pharmacy services.

The refreshed store has undergone significant improvements to its layout, increasing the store’s selling space to 6,141sq ft. The refurbishment has also created five new permanent roles, supporting local employment and the delivery of an enhanced customer experience. To celebrate the reopening, customers visiting on opening day can enjoy a live DJ set.

Inside the store customers can discover an expanded Beauty Studio, which has doubled in size to bring piercing, nail and brow services together in one dedicated beauty destination. The store also features an enhanced cosmetics department, offering an extensive selection of brands and products. Alongside the introduction of International Beauty, a new 24-foot category display showcasing sought-after cosmetics and skincare brands from around the world.

Customers can also explore the new Beauty Playground, featuring four dedicated merchandising islands and an interactive play table showcasing the latest cosmetics, skincare and health products. Further enhancements include improved pharmacy services, continued access to a range of nurse services, and new digital screens showcasing services, offers and product launches. All three store entrances have also been enhanced with striking pink neon lighting, creating a fresh and contemporary look.

Customers can also make the most of their visits by signing up to Superdrug’s Health & Beautycard and VIP Rewards programmes. Members can earn points on purchases and redeem them at a later date, as well as accessing exclusive benefits including lower prices, bonus point promotions, birthday treats and the option to pay with points.

Superdrug property director, Clare Jennings said: “We’re thrilled to welcome customers back to our newly refurbished and extended Watford store. This investment marks an exciting step forward, enabling us to deliver an even better shopping experience with an expanded Beauty Studio, the introduction of an exciting new International Beauty category, and an enhanced range of products and services across beauty, health and pharmacy.

We’re passionate about continually evolving to meet our customers’ needs, and the refreshed store brings together the latest beauty trends, an even wider choice of products and convenient services all under one roof. We’re excited for customers to explore the new-look Watford store and discover everything it has to offer.”
