A.H. Worth brings colour to brassica fixture with new Tesco Finest Red Kale

Tesco Finest Red KaleA.H. Worth, one of the UK’s leading kale growers, is expanding its leafy brassica offering with the launch of Tesco Finest Red Kale, available from 28 September, bringing a distinctive new variety to the fresh produce fixture.

With deep purple-red leaves and a slightly sweeter flavour than traditional green kale, Tesco Finest Red Kale brings visual and taste differentiation to the fixture, offering shoppers something new within a familiar category.

Matt Walton, managing director – Fosdyke & Farms Group at A.H. Worth, said: “We’ve built considerable expertise in leafy brassicas over many years, and we’re always looking at how we can use that knowledge to bring something new and relevant to the fixture. Red kale does exactly that, helping to inspire shoppers while bringing something genuinely different to the category.

“We have a long-standing partnership with Tesco, and this launch is another example of how we’re working together to drive innovation and encourage shoppers to explore the category.”

For shoppers, the variety is also highly versatile, with leaves that hold their shape well during cooking. It brings nutritional value too, being naturally rich in vitamins K, A and C, a source of calcium and folate, and containing fibre and antioxidants.

Grown in Lincolnshire and launching exclusively in Tesco from 28 September, Tesco Finest Red Kale will be available in 257 stores nationwide and online, with an RRP of £1.30 for a 210g pack.
