Activia is expanding its gut health portfolio with the launch of Activia Big Pot Natural and Activia Big Pot Fibre, giving shoppers new ways to build simple nutrition habits into one of the most important moments of the day, breakfast.
About
The launch comes as breakfast continues to drive growth within yogurt, now accounting for the fastest growing occasion, up by 38%.
As shoppers increasingly seek products that can be tailored to different tastes and needs, 82% of consumers now prioritise versality at breakfast, with the big pot format accounting for half of all yogurt consumed at this occasion.
Designed with these changing habits in mind, Activia’s new Big Pots format brings the brand’s deliciously creamy taste and texture and trusted gut health credentials into a larger, multi-serve format for the whole household.

Natalie Carnachan, head of category & commercial planning (Dairy), UK & Ireland, said: “As health becomes an increasingly important purchase driver at breakfast, yogurts are perfectly placed to meet this growing consumer need, offering a convenient and nutritious option that can fit easily into a variety of routines. Demand for larger formats is also increasing, as consumers look for versatile products that can be tailored to different tastes and occasions. Whether enjoyed as a simple breakfast with fruit, cereal and toppings, or shared across the household, big pots provide a flexible foundation for a nutritious start to the day.”
Niamh Brannelly, head of nutrition and science communication, North Europe, said: “At the same time, shoppers are increasingly looking for products that work harder for them by delivering added functional benefits. Fibre remains one of the biggest public health opportunities, with around nine in 10 UK and Irish adults not consuming enough. At the same time, 40% of consumers say fibre is a priority at breakfast, yet changing established eating habits can be challenging. Activia Fibre Big Pot helps bridge that gap by bringing fibre into a familiar breakfast occasion. Combining yogurt with fibre, it provides a simple and enjoyable way to increase fibre intake, whether enjoyed on its own or paired with other fibre-rich foods such as fruit, oats, nuts, seeds or cereal. That’s why we’ve developed Activia Big Pots in both plain and added fibre varieties, helping consumers build healthier breakfast habits with a brand backed by over 40 years of gut health expertise, 19 clinical studies and a body of product-specific science unrivalled by any other spoonable yogurt brand in the UK and Ireland”.
