Award-winning Tequila cocktail brand Pimentae launches Grapefruit Margarita, as Palomas surge in popularity

PimentaePimentae, the trailblazing, award-winning brand known for selling out its premium tequila cocktails, is shaking up the drinks industry once again with the launch of its highly anticipated Grapefruit Margarita. This fresh and fragrant blend of zesty pink grapefruit, premium tequila, and subtle agave sweetness delivers an effortlessly balanced cocktail, just in time for spring.

With a bold 14.5% ABV, Pimentae’s Grapefruit Margarita is crafted for versatility and indulgence. It can be poured straight over ice, garnished with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary for an elegant serve. For those embracing the rapidly rising Paloma trend, a splash of soda water lengthens it into the refreshing, popular cocktail.

Hand painted by artist Morgan Dagata, the new artwork is a vibrant, retro dreamscape inspired by the bold flavours of our Grapefruit Margarita. Bursting with pink hues, citrus energy, and playful 70s nostalgia, the artwork invites consumers into a world of sun-soaked, carefree adventure where every sip can be savoured.

Launching on March 7th in sleek 125ml cans, with bottles, 5-litre bag-in-box, and 20-litre keg formats arriving in April, the Grapefruit Margarita will be available through Pimentae’s website, selected Waitrose stores, and Ocado. This expansion reflects the brand’s rapid growth and continued mission to redefine the perception of tequila.

Founded by Alice Parmiter and Wynter Karo in 2021, Pimentae is part of the 3% of British businesses that are female-founded, disrupting an industry where only 4% of c-suite roles are held by women. Inspired by their travels to Mexico, Parmiter and Karo are on a mission to showcase tequila’s sophistication, not as a quick shot, but as a spirit to be sipped, savoured, and celebrated.

Pimentae has become synonymous with innovation and quality, offering a gateway to the agave category. With a loyal and growing community, the brand continues to break down barriers by making tequila more approachable through exceptional, bar-quality cocktails. Their award-winning portfolio includes the signature Spicy Margarita, the classic Tommy’s Margarita, the refreshing cucumber margarita and now the vibrant Grapefruit Margarita, each crafted with excellence. Pimentae’s products are available through major retailers including Waitrose, Selfridges, John Lewis and Ocado, and the brand’s consistent sell-out launches, celebrity fans and industry accolades reflect their soaring popularity and influence in the drinks space.

The launch of their Grapefruit Margarita is perfectly timed to tap into the booming popularity of tequila and the Paloma cocktail. According to Bacardi’s latest Cocktail Trends Report, interest in agave spirits is surging, with tequila sales in the UK projected to grow by 88% between 2021 and 2026. The Paloma, long overshadowed by the Margarita, is now emerging as a global favourite, reflecting a consumer shift toward lighter, refreshing drinks.

Pimentae’s latest release not only responds to these evolving preferences but also sets a new standard for the at-home and on-the-go cocktail experience. By combining convenience with craftsmanship, the brand empowers consumers to enjoy sophisticated tequila cocktails effortlessly.

Pimentae’s Grapefruit Margarita is poised to be the must-have drink of the season, a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality, creativity, and elevating tequila culture.
