Today Uber Eats and Immediate Media Co announced a partnership which will integrate over 15,000 recipes on bbcgoodfood.com and olivemagazine.com with Uber Eats, enabling UK food lovers to quickly and simply purchase missing items or full ingredient lists.
The partnership integration will enable food lovers making their favourite recipes on bbcgoodfood.com and olivemagazine.com to have ingredients delivered quickly and simply.
Alex Troughton, Head of Commerce at Uber Eats UK said “At Uber Eats, our mission is simple, we want people to be able to get anything at the touch of a button. Our new partnership with BBC Good Food will provide millions of people looking to make recipes from scratch at home with a quick and easy way to purchase the full ingredient list or just a missing item”.
Dany Dantas, head of strategic partnerships at Immediate Media, said: “BBC Good Food has been the UK’s most popular food brand in the last 30 years with its triple-tested recipes reaching over 50 million users annually. Our mission is to inspire and help people across the nation cook recipes in the easiest way possible and so launching this shopping functionality with UberEats, the UK’s largest grocery delivery provider, felt like the right thing to do.
Uber Eats launched its grocery delivery service in 2020 and has seen huge growth not only in the UK, but across the world. In 2021 Uber acquired Chilean grocery delivery firm Cornershop. Last year Uber Eats refreshed its global grocery offering with new features, including being able to schedule deliveries in advance for customers and 24,000 global merchants.
