Bestway Wholesale has announced a series of senior leadership appointments as the business enters its new financial year and looks ahead to its next phase of growth.

Effective from 1 July 2026, Dawood Pervez has been appointed Chairman of Bestway Wholesale Limited, with Naser Khan appointed Managing Director of Bestway Wholesale Limited.

The appointments reflect the company’s continued focus on strengthening leadership capability, supporting long-term growth and ensuring the business remains well placed to respond to the evolving needs of independent retailers, caterers, suppliers and colleagues.

Both Pervez and Khan have dedicated more than two decades of service to Bestway and bring extensive experience across wholesale, retail, trading, finance, operations and strategic business development.

Sir Anwar Pervez, OBE H Pk, Chairman Emeritus, Bestway Group, said:

“These appointments have been made on merit and reflect the Board’s confidence that, under Dawood and Naser’s leadership, Bestway Wholesale will continue to grow, innovate and prosper for the benefit of future generations.”

“Both Dawood and Naser have dedicated more than two decades of service to Bestway. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, strong leadership and an unwavering commitment to our values”.

“I have every confidence that they will continue to drive the business forward, build agile and high-performing teams, and ensure we remain well positioned to succeed in an ever-changing marketplace.”

The appointments form part of a wider evolution of Bestway Wholesale’s leadership structure, designed to support the scale and complexity of the business as it continues to grow across wholesale, retail, catering and foodservice.

Bestway has also confirmed a number of further senior leadership appointments across its Trading, Sales, Retail and Corporate functions, further strengthening the executive leadership team and creating greater alignment across the business.

As part of these appointments, Dan Lewis has been appointed Sales Director, with responsibility for leading Bestway Wholesale’s national sales operation and strengthening customer engagement across independent retail and wholesale. His appointment reinforces the company’s ambition to create a more connected commercial organisation, aligning Sales more closely with Trading, Retail and Marketing to drive sustainable growth.

Zahir Fazaldin has been recognised as Property & Logistics Director, with responsibility for Bestway’s estate portfolio, property development, logistics strategy, sustainability and environmental efficiency.

Adina Bejenaru has been recognised as IT Director, continuing to lead Bestway’s technology strategy, digital infrastructure, cyber security, systems integration and business continuity.
Together, these appointments complement the existing executive leadership team, including Kenton Burchell (Trading Director), Charles Abraham (Foodservice Director) Jamie Davison (Retail Director) and Ashar Rehman (Operations Director), creating a strengthened leadership structure under Chairman Dawood Pervez and Managing Director Naser Khan to support Bestway Wholesale’s next phase of growth.

The strengthened leadership team reflects Bestway Wholesale’s continued investment in the capabilities to support future growth. By bringing together expertise across commercial, operational and corporate functions, the business is creating a more connected organisation that will improve customer experience, strengthen supplier partnerships and support long-term sustainable growth.

Dawood Pervez, Chairman of Bestway Wholesale, said:

“Bestway Wholesale has built its success on strong relationships, entrepreneurial spirit and an absolute commitment to helping independent businesses grow”.

“As we look to the future, the needs of our customers, suppliers and colleagues continue to evolve, and it is essential that our leadership structure gives us the agility, capability and focus to meet those needs”.

“These appointments and organisational changes reflect the strength of talent we have across the business and our continued commitment to investing in our people. I am delighted to be working closely with Naser and the wider leadership team as we build on our strong foundations and continue to drive Bestway forward.”

Naser Khan, managing director of Bestway Wholesale, added: “Bestway Wholesale is entering an exciting new chapter. We have a strong platform, a clear growth strategy and a talented team across the business”.

“Our focus remains on delivering exceptional service, value and support for our customers, while continuing to strengthen our partnerships with suppliers and create opportunities for colleagues to develop and progress”.

“By bringing together Trading, Sales, Retail, Catering, Operations and our Corporate functions under a strengthened executive leadership team, we are building a more agile, connected and customer-focused business that is well positioned for sustainable long-term growth.”

The company said the changes reflect its continued confidence in the future of wholesale and independent retail, as well as its ambition to remain the partner of choice for independent retailers, caterers and foodservice businesses across the UK.
