, the home of Louisiana-style fried chicken, opened the doors to its brand-new Bradford restaurant this morning.The new restaurant located at the popular Broadway Shopping Centre, opened its doors at 11am bringing its signature New Orleans energy and hospitality to the area with a live Mardi Gras style band, The Brass Funkeys. To commemorate launch day, customers also had the chance to snap a photo in the sleek new Popeyes® bite booth, to capture Bradford’s first bite moment.
The launch saw over 100 enthusiastic fans lining up from 1:40AM the night before opening to get a taste of the world-famous Popeyes® Chicken Sandwich.
Patrick was the second customer through the doors after queuing since 2:25AM the night before, explaining: “Now that Popeyes is right on my doorstep, I’ll be coming here all the time. I can’t wait to get stuck into the breakfast menu when it launches tomorrow!”
Rehana, who has been in the queue since 2:30AM, added: “I have heard amazing things about Popeyes and knew I had to get in the queue before everyone else; I just couldn’t wait any longer to finally try it for the first time! It’s definitely been worth the wait!”
Fried chicken fans will be able to get a taste of the iconic Popeyes® menu, including fan-favourites like the Chicken Sandwich, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps in Classic, Spicy, and BBQ. All of Popeyes® chicken is halal certified and marinated for 12 hours on-site in its signature blend of Louisiana herbs and spices, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter crunch,’ complemented by tasty extras like Biscuits and Cajun Gravy.
Popeyes® brand-new Saucin’ Boneless and Hot Wings range will also be available from opening day. Having launched this week in three bold, New Orleans-inspired flavours: cheesy Garlic Parm, smokin’ Bold BBQ and spicy Buffalo.
Drippin’ in sauce and packed with bold New Orleans flavour, the Saucin’ option is a must for all chicken lovers in Bradford – with each portion of the Saucin’ range featuring a whole lotta’ sauce smothered over Popeyes®’ iconic Shatter Crunchin’ spicy Hot Wings or all-new Boneless chicken breast pieces.

The new restaurant marks our sixth in the region, and we’re not stopping here. We can’t wait to open our flagship Leeds city centre store later this year and see the same enthusiasm from Yorkshire fans.”
Starting tomorrow, Saturday 15th February, Popeyes® will also be serving up its halal breakfast menu, featuring British breakfast classics with a Louisiana twist. The ‘Brekkie’ menu includes the Chicken Big Cajun Roll, Cajun Hash Browns, and indulgent Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits.
Breakfast will be available 8am until 11am every day, and will even include a Breakfast meal deal for just £1.99—consisting of the Chicken Brekkie Roll, a Cajun Hash Brown and a drink—which is suitable for a Halal diet and can be claimed exclusively through the Popeyes® UK app, available to download here now.
Popeyes® Bradford is now open in The Broadway Shopping Centre, Bradford BD1 1EY. The new 84-seat restaurant includes 72 seats indoors and 12 outside, touch screen self-service kiosks and collection points for orders made online via the Popeyes® UK website or official app.
