Co-opIntroducing Co-op’s latest additions to its Irresistible range, perfect for those looking to host Italian night with friends and family, or for those who are wanting a convenient, quick, quality tea.

The new introductions include a brand-new Limited-Edition Pizza, Limited-Edition Ravioli and three new Irresistible Dried Pastas, are made in Campania, southern Italy, using the finest Italian durum wheat semolina. Co-op has also introduced a ‘Gluten Free’ addition to one of its new Irresistible Dried Pastas, ensuring that everyone is catered for.

To help compliment the newcomers, Co-op’s pizzas and pastas also come with wine pairings on the back of the pack, which have been carefully and expertly chosen by Co-op’s esteemed wine team. For added convenience, Co-op’s pastas also come with recipe suggestions to help shoppers serve up the ultimate Italian feast.

So, what is new…?

Co-op Irresistible Limited-Edition Butternut Squash and Sage Pizza (474g, £5.95)

Co-op’s Irresistible pizzas are made with premium 00 grade flour and a 24-hour fermented sponge dough – which is spun using a process unique to the UK and exclusive to chilled pizzas at Co-op – to create a crisp, airy crust and perfect chewy softness. Every slice feels like it is straight from an Italian pizza restaurant.

Topped with a creamy butternut squash sauce, melting mozzarella and roasted butternut squash, layers of a delicious combination of ricotta, mascarpone and Gran Levanto cheese are added, with a sprinkling of sage to finish. Pair with Co-op’s Irresistible Pinot Grigio, 75cl, £7.65.

Co-op Irresistible Limited-Edition Salami and Hot Honey Ravioli (250g, £2.00)

Made in the north of Italy, these silky-smooth pasta parcels are stuffed with succulent salami and ricotta and a second filling of hot honey to create a deliciously spicy and sweet flavour combination with Irresistible quality. Pair with Co-op’s Irresistible Provence Rosé 75cl, £10.65.

Co-op Irresistible Orzo (500g, £2.00)

Shaped with a traditional bronze die for a slightly roughened texture, ideal for holding sauces, then slowly dried to preserve the wheat’s delicate flavour. Perfect in soups, salads, casseroles and risottos. Pair with Co-op’s Irresistible Pinot Grigio, 75cl, £7.65.

Co-op Irresistible Mezzi Rigatoni (500g, £2.00)

Shaped with a traditional bronze die for a slightly roughened texture which holds more sauce, then slowly dried to preserve the delicate flavour of the wheat. Mezzi Rigatoni matches well with dishes like ragu, tomato sauces or in baked pasta dishes. Also available in Co-op’s ‘free from’ range (400g – £1.80). Pair with Co-op’s Irresistible Gavi 75cl, £10.15.

Co-op Irresistible Egg Pappardelle (500g, £2.00)

Shaped by a traditional bronze die for a roughened texture using free-range eggs, it is ideal for holding sauces and traditionally served with a thick sauce such as beef ragu. Pair with Co-op’s Irresistible Salice Salentino 75cl, £8.15.
