Crave expands into frozen aisle with UK’s first air fryer free-from and vegan doughnut

CRAVE, the renowned free-from-food and vegan brand, is stepping into the frozen aisle for the first time with the launch of CRAVE Dodoughs (RRP £2.60), a pack of six sugar ring doughnuts that are vegan, gluten and dairy-free, available in Sainsbury’s and Morrisons from 2nd June 2024.

As the UK’s first doughnut to feature air fryer instructions on pack, CRAVE Dodoughs are specifically formulated to withstand high quick cook temperatures and to be cooked in the nation’s popular cooking appliance in just five minutes to give a delicious fluffy texture. They can also be ready in just 30 seconds in the microwave.

Long awaited by allergy sufferers and vegans alike, CRAVE’s Dodoughs are the first of its kind by being free-from egg, dairy and gluten, and are the perfect quick sweet treat designed to offer both value and convenience in its frozen format and pack of six.

CRAVE is committed to creating great tasting and disruptive products without allergens, and hopes to fill the ring-shaped hole in the free-from market with this NPD and address the demand for air fryer instructions. Founder Rob Brice said, “We’ve been working on these bad boys for a few months now and I’m super excited to bring sweet and fluffy treats to the masses. Fresh doughnuts can often go hard and stale quite quickly but that won’t be a problem anymore with our first frozen product. The growing demand for egg, milk and gluten-free vegan products has led us to this launch – we think Dodoughs are game changers, and like all of our products, they are good enough for people without allergies as well.”

The launch follows CRAVE’s peanut-free, P’Not Butter (200g, RRP £4), made from sunflower seeds, into Sainsbury’s and ASDA in March as it continues to lead the fore of free-from development. “We are a brand all about inclusivity and bringing people the products they crave. Bold and unapologetic, we are all about taste, we stand out, so you fit in” said Brice.
