Manchester-based delivery tech firm, DeliveryApp has appointed a new operations director as it drives forward with its technology optimisation for national scalability.

Phil Woodbridge, who previously held a senior operations position at Parcel2Go, will assist in developing the offering around technology for DeliveryApp’s clients and drivers.

As an industry expert in self-serving technology, chat bots and AI functionality, his appointment at DeliveryApp demonstrates the rapid growth and ambition the company has in 2023.

“What DeliveryApp are building is the future of the logistics space,” Woodbridge commented on his appointment.

“Consumers are looking for a 21st Century solution to delivery and logistics tracking, and drivers and couriers are looking for fair and flexible work with companies that can create a community to make them feel a part of something bigger. After seeing the technology and community that DeliveryApp have created, I knew I wanted to be a part of the huge leap forward in the logistics space.”

With a focus on prioritising ethical driver treatment in the delivery sector, DeliveryApp already has a network of over 16,000 drivers and plans to expand this even further throughout 2023 to keep up with growing demand from UK brands to offer same-day delivery services.

Lance Jones, CEO of DeliveryApp, said: “Phil’s experience in operational agility is exactly what we were looking for to catapult DeliveryApp into our next stage of growth. With improving processes, introducing sustainability initiatives and reward schemes for our customers and drivers and ensuring that our industry-leading technology can continue to transform the market.”

With unique real-time tracking technology, DeliveryApp offers same-day and planned delivery services with a commitment to improving driver conditions and ethics, as well as promoting sustainability in the logistics industry.
