‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe GinSalcombe Gin, renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship and deep-rooted love of all things coastal, is proud to announce the launch of ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin into 111 of the top performing Beer, Wines and Spirits (BWS) Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.

Inspired by the four seas that surround the British Isles – the North Sea, Irish Sea, English Channel and Atlantic Ocean, ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin is distilled to the London Dry Standard using botanicals sourced from where these waters meet the land.  Delivering a truly coastal taste experience, it is available in a 70cl bottle, 40% ABV retailing at £39.50.

In a show of coastal community spirit, every bottle helps save lives at sea with 10% of the net price from every bottle sold being donated to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), to support their vital life-saving work.

Angus Lugsdin, Co-founder and Director of Salcombe Gin, comments on the new listing: “We are incredibly excited to launch ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin in Sainsbury’s. This gin represents our passion for adventure and our deep connection to the British coastline. By using botanicals inspired by where the four seas meet our shores, we have created a unique and refreshing gin that celebrates our maritime heritage”.

Angus continues: “Securing a listing with Sainsbury’s is a huge milestone for us and an incredible opportunity to introduce ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin to a wider audience. This partnership will not only help more people experience the unique taste of our British coastal gin but also significantly increase our support for the RNLI following on from their 200th anniversary in 2024. The more bottles we sell, the more we can contribute to their life-saving work, which makes this launch even more meaningful”.

Jack Banks, senior spirits buyer at Sainsbury’s, added: “We’re thrilled to add ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin to our range. The brand’s reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and quality makes this gin a fantastic addition to our offering. With its unique coastal inspiration and vibrant flavour profile, we’re confident that it will be a hit with our customers. We’re also proud to support a product that gives back to British coastal communities. With a percentage of sales supporting the RNLI’s vital life-saving work, customers can enjoy a premium gin while contributing to a cause that’s close to our hearts.”

‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin embodies the rugged beauty of the UK’s diverse coastal landscapes. The gin features bright citrus notes complemented by coastal herbs and sea-inspired botanicals, resulting in a smooth, invigorating profile. Key botanicals include lemons slowly smoked and roasted over Scottish whisky barrel wood chips, English sea buckthorn from Cornwall, sugar kelp foraged from the Irish Sea and elderberries from Wales.

On the nose, it offers zesty fresh lemon, smoky citrus and classic juniper, followed by a citrusy tang and sweetness from sea buckthorn, with underlying floral and earthy layers. The finish is rich, smooth and warming, with a subtle saline note that evokes its coastal origins. Notably, it is free from colourants and added sugar.

Perfect for both new and seasoned gin drinkers, ‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin can be enjoyed in a highball with premium Indian tonic, ice and lemon or in a cocktail to highlight its subtle smoky citrus notes and hint of sea salt.

In line with Salcombe Gin’s commitment to sustainability, all packaging is plastic-free, with biodegradable cellulose tamper-proof seals and a natural cork and wood stopper.

‘Four Seas’ by Salcombe Gin is now available in selected Sainsbury’s stores and online, offering consumers the chance to experience a taste of the British coastline with every sip.
